There is no such thing as a safe cigarette, one a day is not safe. If you could really see your lungs, like an xray you may quit smoking a lot sooner, with all your will and might. Depending on how much you smoke and how long you've been smoking, your lungs could look like black holes. My 41 yr old nephew was diagnosed last Jan. with cancer, and we buried him in JUly of the same year. Please be strong and try with everything you have to quit. Get help if you need. There are support groups. be good to your lungs, they're the only ones you have.

LISTEN! a lot of people have the habit of chain smoking. You have to have it in your hand and go 'through the motions'. That is not the only problem though. You are addicted also to the drugs in the cigarette. Don't know what you mean by 'safe cigarette'! There isn't one.

no, you just have to stop buying them! people will get tired of supporting your habbit so you can't bum one off someone else. it took me several attempts to stop because i enjoyed smoking, but i wanted to be around for my kids so i just got pissed off at the cigarettes and said im not buying them anymore. i kept my mind off of them by doing something else on my breaks at work, for me, i read books about metal sculpting and blacksmithing books, stuff that interested me. the bottom line is you have to really want to stop, don't let it control you. i use to think i was no better than some crack head, but i beat it and now after 4-5 years i haven't had one since, not even with a beer. the cravings do go away. i use to smoke a pack and a half in a day. it all comes to will power.

the first step is to find a reason to quit.

It may take a dozen tries to get-r-dun

I managed to give up a 5 pack a day habit after smoking 55 years

If there was anything "safe" people wouldn't have such a hard time quitting. Be strong, tuff it out. You can join the ranks of folks who did.

Not that I know of. My doctor perscribed me something called Chantix. Works pretty well, but it's a pill not a smoke.
