Yes my friend's sister is in the RAF and has asthma, but she really wanted to go to Iraq and (much to everyone else's relief!) they wouldn't let her because of her asthma.

I’ve got asthma. Can I join the RAF?
Certain medical conditions rule out RAF service. Applications will be rejected if you suffer or have suffered from asthma in the last four years. However, if you have been diagnosed previously as suffering from asthma but have remained symptom-free for a continuous four-year period, you may be considered for RAF ground service but not aircrew.

My brother is an asthmatic and after ten years his asthma has shown no sign of improving. He has been to several doctors but they didn't help much.

If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.

I do not think you would pass the medical to join any branch of her Majesty's forces if you have asthma you must be a/1 in health to join up, and they place Strong empathise on endurance capability which you do not have if you have asthma.
