My 20th birthday was on Saturday and I spent most of the night throwing up. Yesterday, I felt fine, but today I've been having a hard time breathing. Every time I laugh, it hurts and has progressively gotten worse through out the day. It feels like indigestion, but it's making me nervous that I can't take deep breaths. I am going to visit a doctor in the morning, but should I not wait?

No.. If you don't know what it is, I wouldn't wait... It never hurts to walk into an emergency room

I don't think you should wait.

If it has to do with breathing problems then it can be serious. This is our lifeline and we need to breath to survive. What if something happens to you while you are sleeping and you choke or stop breathing.

I think for your own sake you should goto the ER or urgent care. Any health issue related to this can be serious. Better to be safe than sorry.

Go to the Doctor. Were you smoking, drinking? With a crowd of people. Any other symptoms? Maybe you picked up a cold? A chest x-ray wont hurt though.

Sounds like it could be pneumonia, but I could not be sure with the information given....do you have a fever? Also, I am not a doctor. Go to Urgent Care if you are that worried. Good luck and I hope you feel better!!

Try this ,get you some Vicks vaporub and insert a little in each nostril, PRN. This message has not been approved by the AMA or FDA,either, watchout it may help you.

I'd go to the ER. It sounds scarey to me. Or - at least you could phone the advise nurse. She probably knows more than the people on Y! Answers.

If it is making you nervous then by all means see the doc tonight to ease your mind and find out what is going on.
