i went to the dr today he gave me 3 medicines one is xopenex hfa(levalbuterol tartrate) which he gave me instead of the albuterol cause i think i overdosed on the albuterol and caused my chest tightness and hes says it weaker and has less side effects on your heart..and he gave me a steroid inhaler called azmacort(triamcinolone acetonide) and singulair..just wanted to update all of you and see if you think this is a good selection of medication

If a person is treated for tuberculosis for a9 month period and then later in few yrs if he/she has a tuberculosis skin test done ,then what are the chances that he/she might get a false positive.
Also, if the x-ray of this person is done later after a few years ,Is is normal to see scarring
What is quantiferon test ? What will be the result of a quantiferon test done on a person prior treated for tuberculosis?

i am on my second course of antibiotics. first zithromax now avelox. nothing seems to be getting better - the wheezing is still bad and i have shortness of breath. have had to use rescue inhaler. my chest is so tight. and now i have coughed up green crud. i know i probably need a chest xray at this point. anyone ever heard of this type of thing being so resistant? ideas? - killing the doctor is not an option. i have no fever but look and feel dead...wiped out. any docs out there??? and yes i do know a trip to the doctor is indicated. that will happen monday. oh the second round of antibiotics is just for this third time on the pred. the other times i was sick but not this sick and had to be treated twice but i felt alot better by now. we are going on 3 weeks

ok i was just prescribed azmacort im suppose to take 2 puffs 2 times daily but im not sure how long i should wait inbetween each dosage and i cant get in touch with my dr right now so anyone have any idea?

Can anyone help me? i have a cold continuesly, i have been like this since i was a toddler and im now a 21 year old women, i always have to make sure i have tissues in case my nose starts to run, its horrible and i always sound like im snuffled up to, i have had operations on my nose where they took some of the bone away, i have also had polips removed a few times and i have had gromits in my ears, my nose is now so sensitive to touch because of the operations and they clearly have done me no good throughout the years, im so sick of going to the doctors and explaining myself time and time again because all as they do now is prescribe me nasel sprays or hayfever tablets and nothing helps much, im sick of having to live my life like this, can anyone help and give me any ideas about what could be wrong with me, i even make a noise when i eat because of this and now i just won't eat in front of anyone and i can never breath through my nose, i always breath through my mouth its horrible

if i get bronchitis (spelled wrong)... can it turn into pneumonia?!?! i had pneumonia when i was born, and have been afraid of it coming back. i have bronchitis right now and do not have health insurance so i havent gone to a doctor to get it treated or get medicine. should i be worried?!

he was diagnosed with pneumonia on monday, he's been on antibiotic since, but recently he hasn't been drinking as much as he was/should, he's only had around 20 oz. in 24 hours. But he's still as active as usual. Am I over-reacting? Sorry, I'm only 21 and have 6546873 questions about fatherhood :)

I was diagnosed with a Thornwaldtz Cyst in 2004.
I now have HORRID headaches, extreme sinus congestion, and sometimes my vision is blurred, I also get terrible vertigo.
NOT TO FORGET that every 2 to 4 weeks I get a NASTY drainage of the cyst, which runs into my throat. It tastes like a metallic rotten egg! YUCK!!!

Can anyone tell me what I can do, short of having to take months of antibiotic therapy to remove infection, then the cyst removed and my sinus reamed out?

my son has been asthmatic since he was three months old.We are now controlling is with advair and singulair taken daily.He is seven years old about eighty four pounds and an otherwise healthy kid.I just read and article that said that it is harder for them to figt off an infection like bronchitis when using the advair diskus.I also read that the cases were more severe and that more kids died from it I want to know a little more about this if at all possible.
