For about a month now I've had a dry cough that gives me a sharp pain in the left side of my chest. I have no other symptoms to suggest that I have a bug and I thought at first it was just a part of my lung that was inflamed but I'm starting to worry that it might be my heart. Heart disease runs in my family but I'm only 24 and I'm a non-smoker. Any med students out there that can diagnose me? Should I be worried?

I've just treated my mattress with a good beating on the balcony, to un-dust it. Afterwards I felt like I had smoked a whole package of cigs.
Question: Are those dust particles so small that they will stay in my pulmonary alveoli and therefore are hazardous?
(I know about mattresses for allergics and don't think I need one. Just curious.)

I have bronchitis & asthma. When I sleep on my back, I wake up with coughing fits. Sleeping on my right side helps me sleep all night peacefully. I was wondering why this was happening?

I went to ER 3 days ago and they gave me antibiotics and steroids for my bronchitis and an inhaler. But I am feeling much worse and coughing a lot more. Could this be pnuemonia? I do not have health insurance. And I can't afford to go back and forth to a dR.

For about six days now I have had the worst runny/stuffy nose, pressure in different spots of my face, dizziness, sore throat (mostly in the morning and night) and have had TONS of constant plegm in my throat. I also think I have a fever and my body feels weak and tired. I am not sure if this could be a sinus infection or something that I should go to the doctor for or if its a normal cold. Any suggestions? I am debating if I should go to the walk-in clinic. If it is an infection do I need antibiotics to get rid of it?

Thanks for the help!

I've been sneezing and blowing my nose all day. There isn't a tree in sight, so I doubt it's allergies, and I don't have any pets. What's up with the air here?
