As I am alergic to aspirin, I am concerned as to whether Sudafed contains the same ingrediants as aspirin?

Sudafed and aspirin are two entirely different drugs and contain nothing the same. Sudafed is a decongetsant and Aspirin is a pain medicine. They do not contain anything the same.

Sudafed is a decongestant and does not have the same ingredients as apirin. I'm not sure why your doc says to take it for breathing difficulties unless you have allergies. If this is the case, then maybe you should talk to your doctor about Singulair or Zyrtec or something of the like...maybe it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion also.

No. (However, some brands contain a blend of both, so read the label before you buy.)

Each Sudafed capsule contains 120 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. Each capsule also contains as inactive ingredients: corn starch, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 3, FD&C Yellow No. 6, gelatin, sucrose, titanium dioxide, and other ingredients.

Aspirin contains Acetylsalicylic acid

The regular Sudafed is a decongestant with no aspirin in it.

Sudafed is the daytime brother to Actifed.
It is not an anti-inflamatory drug.
