At school, we have to run a mile. I have asthma, but not really bad. I was wondering if anyone knew anything that can help with breathing during the run.

I have a 6 month old baby and the babysitters house (my mother inlaw) smells really bad of cat pee. She has 3 cats and one of them keeps peeing all over the house. I'm concerned that it may be unhealthly for my baby to be breathing that every day. Especially right now because my baby has a bad chest cold. Does anyone know?

i'm in my mid teens and was diagnosed with a sinus infection last month, although i have been sick since january. i have been having trouble breathing since i got sick and the doctor ordered a pulmonary test, which showed that my airway was inflamed. he prescribed an inhaler to use once in the morning and once at night (its not a fast acting inhaler thing for attacks) and have been using it for almost a month now. my trouble breathing has been occurring less frequently but today they have been the worst. ever since i woke up, i have already had 2 attacks (not sure if theyre really attacks, just guessing) my symptoms are: trouble breathing, shallow and rapid breathing, weakness and lightheadedness, tightness in my chest, sometimes i feel tightness in my neck. it triggers/get worse when i spray perfume or put effort into something, such as walking around school or going up and down stairs. do you think i'm beginning to develop asthma?

this weeking i started feeling prettty crummy. Really tired, chills runny nose. That lasted about three days Sunday night my stuffy nose went away so i figured it was a cold but my temp went up to 102. It's been averaging 102 almost 103 for the past three days and now i have a prettty bad cough which hurts my chest pretty bad. Its deep and croupy like it's productive but but just clear/light yellowish. The cough is making my throat pretty soar and scratchy and im generally feeling worse than before. I still have the chills and have been in bed for two todays. Today my fever was 102.6, but my cough seems to be gradually worsening. It's very frequent and lasts long periods of time.
Does anyone know whats going on with me or can tell me what i have. im 18 and away at school so i can't really go see my doctor soon.

Also, how long before the nicotine is completely out of your system? I have smoked for 28 years and have not had a cigarrette since Sat. afternoon. I'm very close to climbing a tower with an assault rifle. I've tried the patches and gum etc. before and they give me chest pains.

About 7 years ago I got a very bad bronchitis. The doctor told me he heard a mild wheeze and wrote me out Albuterol for the neb. He asked if I would rather have an inhaler or neb. I chose for the neb. since we had a machine at home.

Well I somehow got addicted to the nebulizer and Albuterol. I have taken Albuterol almost every 4 hours some days a little less. At least 4-5 a day for 7 years. I have had PFT tests that came back mild, mild, mild asthma. My doctor told me on a scale from 0-10 my asthma is 0-3. I have a peak flow moniter at home as well and I blow good on it for my age and height. But I have been taking the Albuterol for so long that I am afraid that if I try to stop taking it that I will die or have a severe attack or something. I am sooooo worried. I have went like 15 hours without taking any Albuterol before and nothing happened. I just felt short of breath a little.

ive never been officially diagnosed with ashma but i have an allbuterol inhaler and have to use it everyday which i heard isnt that good for you that you shouldnt have to use it everyday..my peakflow measure 400-450 so from what i read thats good but when i breath in i have tightness in my chest.before the tightness in the chest started it was wheezing and shortness of breath pretty much every day.so the thing is i wont be covered by insurance for another 4-6 weeks so i cant get any prescription to get whatever it is under control till then..ive recently had blood tests urine test and a chest xray and nothing was found.i dont know if its from using the inhaler to much or what but does anyone know of any home remedies tea's etc.. that can help with the breathing overall and most important the tightness in the chest..i have an air purifier but im still having these problems so anything anyone can suggest to help me get by for 4-6 weeks that will help and let me not use my inhaler so much

can you get asbestosis from coming into contact with it just once? I was digging out a foundation when i came across a big pile of it someone had buried years ago - it was loose pipe cladding asbestos and I must have breathed in loads of it before I realised what it was - any advice?

My nine month old has had lung problems since he was born last June (the night he was born he stopped breathing), in November he got pneumonia (has had it twice since then) and has also had bronchitis three times since then. After having him on different antibiotics, amoxicillian and zithromax, and still fighting it, I went to a different doctor last monday and he still had bronchitis, the doctor put him on a nebulizer with albuterol, he had a follow up appointment this morning and still has bronchitis so he is to keep up with the albuterol and now has to take pulmicort as well. Everything that I have read about the two says "treatment for asthma" is this also normal treatment for bronchitis and pneumonia? Why is my son having these issues, my husband had childhood asthma, there is no smoking around any of my children, we have pets, but after today they are on the way out the door...what else could be causing these problems.. what can I do to help my baby.., I have never delt with this

Explain why individuals can suffer at High Altitude?

2007-03-14 03:03:34 · 3 answers · asked by Anonymous

I've just been diagnosed with asthma; was afflicted while suffering a cold, and according to the doctor, my excessive coughing is how my asthma introduced itself. I do feel a difference as far as my breathing and my energy, as if my lung capacity has been cut in half. On top of that, I'm still coughing like a maniac because I feel something lodged in there. I can safely say that this whole ordeal sucks @$$. I was given a prescription for albuterol (inhaler) which works fine and all, but I don't want to grow dependent on it.

Any tips on increasing my lung capacity and control my coughing (breathing excercizes, vitamins, detox, etc) would be greatly appreciated.

coughing. There are two who have not started feeling better and the rest are playing and running, all of the usual stuff for kittens and the adults are all better. There was never a loss of appetite except for these two. I have been giving them chicken broth by dropper. Any other suggestions as I can not afford the vet at this time. I am also giving them water regularly.

Doctor says she has bronchitis and middle ear infection. He gave her amoxicilian and said use any over the counter pediatric med, for her. But i can't seem to find one that does it all. I need something to dry up runny nose, loosen plegm, and keep fever down. The fever keeps coming back when im using the one for the throat, and she has a hard time swallowing from pain of trying to cough mucus up, if im treating the fever. Cant get a hold of the doctor, and pharmacist said any, but like i said need an opion on whats best to give for all, maybe someone out there has gone through this mess. please help quick, and also opions on keeping fever down anyway.

Do I have asthma or what? 2 years ago my doctor said I have mild asthma. Up until then I never had any asthma symptoms. I am here now because I need a medical doctor or nurse to advise. I woke up this morning with this weird feeling in my chest like a coldness and it makes me cough at times...which sounds slightly wheezy. I did open up the windows lastight and turn the fans on because it was so hot I had to cool the house down. So, is this seasonal asthma or something? I'm uncomfortable. Can someone please help. Thank you.
