Buying health insurance and have an exam to pass??? A couple of days "completely smoke free" will work for the urine test, but they will know you smoke if they come to your house and smell it everywhere. Best bet is to be honest and pay the higher (what a rip off!) rates they ask than have to worry about it for the rest of your life. Good luck!

Let me correct the person below, only a few days are needed to pass the urine and blood test that insurance co. give. I know that for a fact, I know of several that quit a few days prior to the exam for the lower rates, were planning to quit anyway and they passed theirs.
