You don't catch Asthma. Asthma is not contagious.

There are several types of Asthma which you can develop if the triggers are there (such as developing "Allergy-Induced Asthma" in adulthood if you have had allergies (hay fever, pollen, etc) since childhood. Though not everyone develops this Asthma.

Not everyone develops Asthma.

There is also the type of Asthma people get as children and continue to have through adulthood. I went to school with someone who had this type of Asthma. This type is harder to control than the other types.

I know most about the "Allergy-Induced Asthma" because that is the type I have and the info is what the doctor (Allergy/Asthma specialist) told me.

You can't catch asthma. Asthma is the constricting of the bronchioles in your lungs caused by enviornmental factors such as dirt, pollution, etc..

You don't "catch" asthma. Asthma can be caused by environmental and/or genetic causes.
