this weeking i started feeling prettty crummy. Really tired, chills runny nose. That lasted about three days Sunday night my stuffy nose went away so i figured it was a cold but my temp went up to 102. It's been averaging 102 almost 103 for the past three days and now i have a prettty bad cough which hurts my chest pretty bad. Its deep and croupy like it's productive but but just clear/light yellowish. The cough is making my throat pretty soar and scratchy and im generally feeling worse than before. I still have the chills and have been in bed for two todays. Today my fever was 102.6, but my cough seems to be gradually worsening. It's very frequent and lasts long periods of time.
Does anyone know whats going on with me or can tell me what i have. im 18 and away at school so i can't really go see my doctor soon.

ANY time you run a temp.. you are fighting infection... and from what you are saying here.. I would almost bet it's bronchitis... or bronichal pnemonia... Get to an urgent care facility.. be it an ER or a med station .....

Any color in sputum is a good indication also of infection... Kiddo.. you need antibiotics most likely... and if you were my kid and didn't seek medical attention.. man you would be in for trouble when you got home...

Hope you feel better soon.

im 13 and my ppl are docs, i know stuff.

Yellow mucous= infection (probably bacterial)

Eat more protein, eat more food so you can make more cells. It seems a little like bronchitis, i had it before and had the same symptoms but not the high @$$ fever. run to the doctor before it turns into a major infection! If you have some Zithromax or Amoxcillin (anti-biotics) take it. You are probably fighting a bacterial infection. Gargle salt water or drink some hot water to make your throat feel better. You are in college and you dont have time, see your doctor or it will turn worse. Im lucky, if i feel bad i see my parents and I'm cured.

Considering I've been sick a lot in my life, I suggest you get to the ER right away. Anytime you're running a fever of close to 103 you are putting your body in grave danger of dehydration and serious illness. Go now. You probably have pneumonia.

As for what you have, I couldn't tell you specifically, some kind of infection, if it lasts for more than a week it is probably bacterial

Since you can't see doctor, I would suggest getting lots of rest, drinking plenty of fluids and taking some cold medication to supress the symptoms. (e.g. nyquil, caugh drops)
take a multivitamins and continue eating healthy.

Chills come with the fever, just let your body rest and fight it off.
