you don't get cig's. If you get ugly about it, they call the police.

Forget it. They are carding ANYONE who doesn't look 23 nowdays.

Well It depends on if the 18 year old had an I D. When I worked at a convenience store we had to card anyone who looked under 30, and if they didn't have an I D we didn't sell. If the 18 year old did have an I D the clerk might have thought it was fake or something was up.

If they didn't ask for ID, or the person didn't have ID, the store didn't believe that the person was 18. The store was being cautious! They could get in trouble if they sell to a minor.

I stand by the store, not the smoker.

If they really really want the tabacco, take along ID. If they refuse to sell to you still, report them to authorities, then they should not be saying they sell tabacco.
It also depends on where you live and what age the legislation there alloows to buy tabacco.

Go back and tell em u will report him to consumer affairs if he dont sell u the cigarettes. Speak up, he is just teasing u.
Dont fall for that crap. This is a free country, so u get your
azz back to the store and give him a piece of your mind.
Plus, ask to speak with his boss quick.

If someone has tobacco to sell they can sell to who ever that want to and can refuse whoever they want to, even if they are 80 years old. Its theirs.
