I would go into more detail but I have spent too much time answering cough questions lately. Long story really short, find out why you are coughing and treat that. Do you have sinus drainage, especially post nasal drip? That will cause a cough. Do you have asthma or reactive airway disease or bronchitis? That will cause a lot of coughing and cough medicine won't help, treat the cause. Do you have acid reflux? This is a common reason for coughing. Take some tums and see if it helps. Enough said, figure out why you are coughing, then treat that and the cough will go away.

depends how long youve had it... is it a dry and persistant cough ?? or a wet one... eitherways you should consult a doctor and theyll probably prescribe medications according to the severity of the cough.... in most cases if its a normal cough you'll have to take a course of antibiotics for 5 days or so and cough syrup...otherwise you;ll need to get urself tested/checked just incase !better safe than sorry rite !
