How would professional medical persons describe this behavior of the hospital leaving the body stuck with IC and to be noticed two days later when the body was collected from a mortuary. Does this warrant a legal action?

I have embalmed thousands of bodies, and most probably 1/2 of them still had lines, feeding tubes, central lines and drainage tubes attached. The hospitals rarely remove these items post-mortem, so no, a legal action is not warranted, as this happens every day.

No, as people are buried everyday with pacemakers, artificial parts, etc still intact. Yes, It is disrespectful; but a lawsuit is excessive. Our MDAs use lines to support a body during an organ harvest. The coroner/funeral home will remove them during the body preparation.

typically the hospital leaves all lines in until the coroner examinates the body. The coroner and not the hospital typically removes these.
