I threw what was left of a pack of cigarettes in the garbage and never lit another. When I had the urge to inhale I just took a deep breath like you do when inhaling. I chewed on sunflower seeds that first week. It kept my hands and my mouth busy. It got easier each day and I just hit the 19 year mark and am still nicotine free!!! And I was a heavy smoker--at least 2 packs a day. If I could do it, anyone can. I'm so glad I quit.

I quit in Oct of 06. thank God. and I have not had a single puff since. fear made me quit after smoking for 30 years. I had a couple of bad ct scans and the Doctor ordered a pet scan (Which is a cancer tumor test) FEAR FEAR so I smoked my last one and said never again. I still miss them but you talk yourself threw it and don't smoke. it gets easier everyday. you can do it believe me. the very best to you by the way my pet scan came out normal, now I just pray I don't get lung cancer in the future from smoking in the past. I am so happy I quit and I have saved my life and a lot of money

I tried several time before I finally quit smoking about 6 months ago. I was a smoker for more than 15 years.

I used a natural remedy 'Crave-RX'. It helped me in reducing nicotine craving and withdrawal symptoms. Hypnosis is also considered good for quiting smoking.

No harm in trying because crave-Rx is harmless but effective. It worked for me it might work for you since people react differently to different methods.

quit smoking by lessening the amount you take for a week and drink a lot of liquid. have an aim to stop it and you are sure you can quit it.

i used nicotine patches and i sucked on a straw cut to the legnth of a cigarette for a few days to help with that until the nicotine withdrawel was over the patches are great and the dreams on the first night alone are worth trying them everyone i know myself included had had the most wild vivid dreams on the first night of the patch

also dont say you are trying to quit say you quit it really helps with the mental aspect of it

smoke your last cig.
resign yourself to this fact.
then gather the following:

one-valium
one-demerol
novocaine injections
one week supply-lortab

take valium and demerol.
one hour later, recieve novocaine, have someone (preferably, a dentist or some other doctor) remove your wisdom teeth.
stumble home
ingest one or two lortabs.
sleep.
