Dear all, I have been taking for about three months, anti-anxiety pills called PAXXET 20mgs. I was unable to buy a new pack and for over a week I havr not been taking them. At the beginning I was feeling ok, but for the past 2 days I have been feeling dizzy, numbness in my hands and my face as though I dont feel them out of the blue. I also feel my heart is not beating regularly; I feel it "stops" or pounds slower at times and pounds much faster at others which causes a feeling of being short of breath. Can stopping taking this medicine the way I did cause these symptoms?

Kree is only 6 years old, the only illness she has ever had was a bad cold when she was 3, we woke up one saturday & she didn't have a mark on her, by lunch time she had 32 major bruises all over her, she has always bruised easily but we put it down to her tom boy ways, climbing trees, trying to play football etc with her older sister, but to go from not a mark to 32 deep purple bruises of different sizes all over, I admit I paniced & thought the worst (leaukeamia?), we took her to an after hours Dr who ordered urgent blood tests, the results came back showing my baby has Thallasimia minor ~ I don't think I can even spell it, any info, advice would be very welcomed. I am in fear for her future, having children etc, & not to forget anemia, the Dr's won't tell us what to expect, thank you in advance for any help any one can provide.

My eye problem just got aggravated and am looking to go to a doctor (an eye specialist and not a GP).
How to find one who can give me an appointment today itself?
I'll highly appreciate any guidance.
By the way I'm new to London.

My grandad has had Parkinson's for a number of years now but is getting progressively worse. He is now at the stage where he needs to take tablets 4x a day at different times. He often gets confused and forgets to take them. He has been told he will need someone in 4x a day for 15 mins to make sure he takes his tablets. This service is costing him £12 for 15 mins. This seems very high and i was wondering if there are any other services that offer a cheaper rate or free service?

I take care of a 90 yr old man and the doctor recently discovered blood clots in his legs. They were giving him shots in his stomach, then put him on pills. They took him off 2 days ago, and now he's not feeling well. He fell 3 times in the shower yesterday, and started shivering, saying he couldnt get warm. He doesnt have a fever, nausea. Just slight confusion, but that only happened once for a short time. He wont go to the hospital,. he says that he feels better. Could these problems be because of them taking him off of coumadin?? Or that he could still have too much in his system??

My glands are up under my armpits and under my neck, and I feel unwell. I want to get rid of the horrible feeling. Any suggestions. I went to the doctors tonight and he prescribed me nothing, just told me to go home and take panadol and rest. Yea right. As if that will work. I need to know if it is normal for glands to be up and feeling unwell for 2 weeks. At the moment I think it is a virus, that needs to be cleared up. Any sugestions?

I saw on the news this morning a woman who weighs 42 stone, is bedridden and feels as though the NHS have given up on her. Although she made a few dodgy excuses, I can't help but think her main point was a valid one.

You wouldn't tell an anorexic person to just eat, its not as simple as that as there are underlying psychological problems. So why do we tell obese people to just stop eating? there are clearly underlying psychological causes to that as well.

So should obesity be classed as an eating disorder and treated in the same way with specialist care?

What do you think?
