I have a condition that is not very well known from what I can tell. I have had my costosternal ligaments separated from my sternum due to stretching my back by placing my hands in a fist behind my spine and pushing forward (therefore receiving a "pop" up my spine to relieve pressure). Doing this on one occassion about 2 years ago, I felt my sternum pop. Since then i have seen two doctors and a PT. Each says it's the costosternal ligaments either separated or a rib out of place on the anterior and posterior insertions. However, each stated there wasn't anything they knew I could do to help "fix" the problem. Any ideas? It hurts often and pops quite a bit while I am getting off of the floor from playing with my children and I'm only 35 and very active, so I'm a little worried. Thanks for any help or input!

If something feels like it burst in your head, then there is a warm sensation in the same spot, followed by numbness and lightheadness?
It happens periodically (every couple of months) and doesn't last for more than twenty minutes. I want to know if I should be concerned about this, or if it is a natural thing. I have been feeling this since I can remember, but I told someone the other day and they thought it sounded really bad.

I have a pain on my left side where my kidney is which keeps coming and going. I have had kidney infections before and they stayed but sometimes I feel well for a few hours and the pain is more of an ache than a sharp pain. If it comes and goes can this also be a kidney infection or just a stress reaction? Thank you.

Started when i was very young, i would always get these bad stomach aches. I would have atleast 2 (if not more) episodes a month. It generally happens after i've eaten and it could be ANYTHING healthy or non so i can never really pinpoint it to a certain food. There very painful and some of symptoms i have are: hot flashes(have to get buttnaked when i go, sorry if TMI), feel almost faint/weak, and get a tingling sensation in my feet. Everyone just says its bad gas, but there has to be more to it then that and something intestenially wrong. Is this IBS...any of my symptoms related?

my nan died during minor surgery and there was not a time of death recorded! its very undignified and i would like to no why we haven't been told! we suspect that it was due to suspicious circumstances of how she died as she had an abnormality that if ignored or the operator was unaware of it, the surgery would of had to been done more causious due to her admonality! if they did not inform the surgeon then he would have carried out the operation as normal and that would most definatly of caused her a very seriouse bleed from the aorta and death! do you think that they would hide the time of death due to maltreatment? hope i get to the bottom of this and get some justice for my wonderful nan.

My Grand father is 83 years old he survived a mild heart attack and 2 strokes the 2nd stroke left him paralyzed on the left side of his face so his speech his slurred a little. The doctors diagnosed him with a clogged crodded artery and they told him there was nothing they could do. So, seriously, I need to quit caffeine after 15 years of Diet Coke addiction. I know it is messing with my memory and my head and I HATE IT!! So, I am taking caffeine out of my diet altogether. Only thing is, I am having horrible headaches, dizzy feelings and sheer anger. This is very hard and it is only the first day. I just want aspartame and caffeine out of my life!

Well I was wondering if anyone knew what this might be. I'm going to the Dr's to see about it, but I wanted to have some kind of idea first.

I seem to have a fair amount of dizzy spells, especially at the time of the month or after I've had a nosebleed and normally it wouldn't bother me, but it tends to go on for a while, usually getting worse as the day goes on, but doesn't affect me at all when I've woken up and for a few hours afterwards.

It makes me feel lethargic most of the time too.

Any ideas?

Hey,
I was just going to ask if anybody had loved ones who have major health problems? Why? My mom does.... She has a disease called cuisons. It is were you have a brain tumor and you blow up to about 280. That may not sound bad but for my mom who is usaully about 115, that's bad. She got it when she was pregnant with me, so about 14 and half years ago. I am so scared because it is coming back. She got brain surgrey for it about 13 years ago, and they removed most of it. But if they removed all of it she would die. But i just want to know who else is out there with problems like my mom. Or any problems. I have 4 siblings 5 including me. So it is really hard. I want to know if any body else has a problem. I will pray for you and hope you will for me.

Recently I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. The doctor performed the lithotripsy procedure twice so far and the stone got smaller but not small enough to pass. Now he wants to do a third one. Is it normal to have a lithotripsy procedure more than once for the same stone? In my case three lithotripsy procedures within a month? I'm worried about any side effects or any permanent damage to the kidney. Please help.

I have been in pain off and on for about 10 years, & most recently, everyday since 10/10/06. I came upon my medical records dtd 8/99 and a neuro dr said that I had both. This dr informed my internest, but not me. I was told I had Raynaud's & Fibromyalgia,Carpel Tunnel. I was seen recently by a Neuro doc in So Ca and he said RSD, not TOS. I'm aware there are different types of TOS. My symptoms are on my left side upper torso.Numbing, tingling, chest tightnesss(pain),muscle weakness, headache, neckache, face is tingling & numb, pressure behind left side of face, shoulder front&back discomfort, lef side reacts to all temp changes cold &hot.I can't sleep on my right side(left side hurts),left hand changes color to red ith the cold and heat as does my face does the same sensing temp change (hot & cold). I was told to take neuronton. I also have chronic asthma on top of it.The neuro doc in 99 said I had both & to get pt to help. Had pt for firbro & mde symptoms worse. Any input. Thanks, Marla

My grandfather is currently in the hospital because yesterday he lost the use of his legs, he fell, but falling isn't uncommon for him. When he was addmitted to the hospital his fever was 104 degrees F then an hour later went up to 106, down again to 99 then back to 101. They have ruled out stroke but have yet to come up with ANYTHING... other then a theory of a blood clot.... and are treating him for that, but they don't even know for sure if that is the problem it is only a guess! Now they are talking phsycal therapy, yet have no clue WHY this has happened?
Those are really his only symptoms... fever and loss of leg usage. Any ideas what could be going on?
