thiamine (blocks the absorption of alcohol, not vice versa, and it's given by the emergency crew), b complex, and folic acid. a laxative is also good to rid the body of the toxins. This is what my patients are routinely prescribed. As far as a specific muti-vitamin, it doesn't matter.

No. The alcoholic needs to see the doctor and have blood work done to see what kind of damage there is. Only then can the alcoholic be treated.

It won't do any good to give an active alcoholic treatment unless they have stopped drinking. Try to get the alcoholic to go to the hospital to be medically detoxed (stopping drinking without medical treatment can cause seizures) then to AA.
