I was just wondering if you do have it was it obvious? I mentioned to my dad that I thought I might be having a problem with my thyroid and he shot me down and said no you would be able to tell by the way you look. I am tired all the time I have but on 50+ pounds in the last two years, I am active, I really do not eat that much and my aunts and grandmother both have it. Is this something that is obvious? Like do you have sucken in eyes or yellow skin?

In my PE class today we found our resting heart rate. My teacher said that the healthy number would be between 50 and 80, but my number was 101! I'm 13 years old, 5'5ish and about 100-105 lbs. What does the high number mean? Am I really unhealthy?

My right ring finger has a bumb on it, on the inside. It also is bending more than normal. I've compared it to my other finger and my left hand doesn't bend like that one and doesn't have a bumb there. The bumb is more pointy than round. You can only slightly tell that it's there if your not touching it, but the area around it is red... It just popped up, but i'm not sure exactly when. My finger is also a little sore, this only just happened and it only just started hurting(it's only like a small pang)

Is this anything to be alarmed about??

I have been extremely tired lately and sluggish all day. When I go to exercise I can only bare to do 45 minutes when I'm used to doing anywhere from 60-90. I also get very dizzy when I go to stand up and have not been able to concentrate on my studies what-so-ever. Could this be a sign of an iron deficiency? What else could it be?

I think it might be a migraine, but it is behind my right eye. It has been going and coming for about 2 weeks now and I have only been taking OTC pain relievers for it. I know I need to see the doctor, as I am waiting for an appointment. I don't know what triggers them, I have not had them before, I'm not really that sensative to light, and sometimes I feel nauseous. The other night I woke up with one really bad and couldn't go back to sleep till after I took some meds.

What do I tell people? I'm not really deaf but sometimes I'm pretty darn close to it. I have meniere's disease, so my hearing fluctuates a LOT. I pretty much can't hear at all without a hearing aid, but there are days when (with a hearing aid) I can understand things fairly ok. Most of the time I have to be face to face with people to understand them (therefore I do lipread even without realizing it). But there are times (like now) that I can hear people 4 feet away from me talking but unless I'm right in their face I understand very little of it. Maybe 5% I have to concentrate very hard to understand things. But with certain types of voices I can carry a fairly normal conversation.

Help! I've been sick now twice in the past three weeks.

My first illness: I never vomited, but it took me about 4-5 days to get over it and back on my feet.

My second illness: I have vomited four times in the past 10 hours.

The 2nd and 3rd times I vomited parts of food that I had eaten in the past days, such as the lettuce from a DQ chicken sandwich and parts of a dish called Dirty Rice, made by Tony Chaceres (sp?).

The 4th time the vomit was an olive green color.

It seems like when I went back down to rest, I allowed the contents in my stomach to settle, then when i have gotten up, I've had to vomit.

Sorry if that was a bit too much information, but I figure the more information I provide, the more accurate answers I might get.

Is it just a coincidence? Was the first illness just the flu and could the second illness possibly have been food poisoning?

I don't regularly get sick, and this is the first time I've vomited in 3-4 years.

Thanks to repliers!!!
