I think it might be a migraine, but it is behind my right eye. It has been going and coming for about 2 weeks now and I have only been taking OTC pain relievers for it. I know I need to see the doctor, as I am waiting for an appointment. I don't know what triggers them, I have not had them before, I'm not really that sensative to light, and sometimes I feel nauseous. The other night I woke up with one really bad and couldn't go back to sleep till after I took some meds.

Things you can try are making sure you are drinking enough fluids. Are they caffeine related? It's allergy season in many places---when my kids get headaches this time of year, I give them Benadryl for a couple of nights, and then start them on allergy medicine. It really helps. Even if you don't think you have allergys, it may help. Being nauseated is common with headaches. Have you tried ice to the head. Sometimes either that or heat helps./ Sorry , sounds like if it gets worse you should go to ER. Any neck stiffness, fever, balance difficulties, visual disturbance should be looked at right away too. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.

Sorry for your pain, I have had similar headaches before, but I think that mine are related to sinus or allergies. I had one two weeks ago that for the life of me I couldn't kick until I slept it off.
But, the best thing that I found when the meds are not working from at home perspective is to get a hot wet washcloth, and put over my face, and breathe in the warm air, then go lay in a dark room. Also you might want to get your neck checked I know that a few times that I had really bad headaches that I went to the Chiropractor and got my neck adjusted and the headaches went away. Hope your feeling better soon.
