Hi i have been diagnosed with crohns since i was 11,I'm now 31,i haven't tried any alternative therapies,i was on salazapyrin and 60 mg of prednisilone daily, steroids, when i was first diagnosed,i ended up with moon face because of the steroids, which is no fun, basically a good diet really worked for me and the medication,i wouldn't try alternative therapies as i have seen this condition get so bad that the person who I'm referring to ended up with a colostomy,he refused to take the steroids.Incidentally the medication does work in time,i haven't had a flare up since i was 18.try not getting to stressed as this can make it flare up.good luck.

Please don't go there, you are asking for extra heartache, and you also risk being ripped of by some unscrupulous charlatan!
At least conventional therapies, though they may not always fix things and are not always side effect free, are tried and tested in controlled scientific ways.It is not really very likely that alternative therapies will assist you.
In the few weeks I have been answering 'Health Answers' I have had my eyes really opened. I had no idea that such a high percentage of the population are so naive as to believe in the myths, potty patent medicines, illegal drugs, illegally purchased prescription only drugs, charlatans and just plain crooks, purporting or pretending that they can fix them.

One alternative therapy helps cause remission in 50 or 70% of people. It's pig whipworm therapy, it goes on the basis that your body is currently trying to attack something that's not there, because something should naturally be there. When you introduce the pig whipworm your body fights it instead of itself.
The theory is that people evolved in a place that had these types of creatures in the diet, and nowadays with our food and environment so clean, they're missing that in their diet, so their body has nothing to attack.
I'll put a link below.
Oh and you drink in their ova appearantly, it sounds nasty but if it works it works.

Dont bother. If your under the care of the medics in your local hospital then they have a wealth of experience. Listen to them and take what medication they recommend, they will prescribe what is required to manage YOUR disease.
