I just want to know, (not by the look), if there is a way to see if I/someone has a fever without using a thermometer... back of the hand, I heard, doesn't really work, especially if it's your own hand... please help???

Well, that might be true, but sometimes people get very pale with a fever. Skin mostly feels hot, but that really depends on ambient temperature. So, when in doubt, buy a thermometer. They are not that expensive.
