I was lieing in bed the other day asleep and I stretched out my leg. All of sudden I woke up with horrific pain in my. It felt like it was tensing up and geting harder and harder. It felt as if someone was squeezing it as hard as possible. My partner held it to try and comfort me and after about 30 secs she said it almost felt like blood was rushing back into it and it started to loosen off. I get a similar feeling in my jaw sometims but no where near the same pain. After it happened i could not walk or put ne weight on my leg until next day and even then it was very sore and still is now on day 2. Does anyone know what this is or if its something i should check out with a docter? I had been to the gym that day as well if it helps and i do go every other day. My legs are ver muscular as well. thankyou in advance

I have been diagnosed with essential tremor. I have noticed that it follows a pattern 3 weeks of varying degrees of hand tremor followed by week of normal. I seems to be associated with my menstrual cycle and is much worse in the week prior, during and following. Somewhere in the middle I will be 'normal' ie no tremor no matter what the situation for 3 days to a week. I asked the neurologist about this and he said I was just being stupid. Obviously the answer was he doesnt know. I would like to know does anyone else get this, or does anyone know the mechanism involved (or are willing to speculate). Look forward to hearing anyones ideas on the matter.

Cheers Callie

Stress at work often affects my stomach, an uncomfortable feeling, sometimes nausea, sometimes mild stabbing pains. Is there something I can take to alleviate the symptoms? (The Doc would only send me to gastro-endoscopy again - been there 4 times already - and provide aluminium hydroxide which doesn't help much)

Have you guys read Kevin Trudeau's book on curing obesity? He claims that the hypothalmus gland is the culprit and does the cure seem credible? Any possible side-effects because of the "re-clocking" of the hypothalmus gland? Thank You.

I have held my breath. I have drank a ton of water. I have had my family members try to scare them out of me. I even tried my 5-year old daughters cure: plugged my ears, held my breath, and jump up and down ten times. Nothing is working. Help!

Both my parents are smokers and are around that age, and my grandma also smokes. She's 57 and I don't know exactly what will happen. What has already happened to themselves they can't fix? I know there's a lot of things in cigarettes that can kill you, but I want to know what 15 years of smoking can do to you.

Anyone notice that the drug commercials are getting out of control with things that never seemed to be a problem before? There is the pill for "depression that hurts your body physically"... I've been very depressed, but nothing on my body ever hurt due to my depression... and then there is the RLS; Restless Leg Syndrom commercials. I've had that needle feeling in my legs for about five minutes, but is this really a problem people are having. If so, let me know. It just appears as though the pharmacutical companies are trying very hard to create new sicknesses so that they could continue to push their drugs for profit. What happens is that a few million healthy people are beliving they are sick, and becoming drug users... and it's all okay, because the drugs are legal... (sarcasm)
