About three weeks ago I went through something very hard emotionally...when I was driving home I suddenly felt numb all over my face...especially my nose and lips and also in my fingers...i felt short of breath also. But it went away after a while...the next day when I was talking to a friend about the whole situation my fingers got numb again...it hasnt happened anymore...but im just curious as to why or what that could have been?

T3, Total...........176 (in range)
T-4, Total......... 9.5 (in range)
TSH.................0.01L (out of range)

I'm going to see an Endocrinologist soon but what do my results mean exactly? They said that it is hyperthyroidism but it seems like hypothyroidism...? If that makes any sense. I mean I've been absolutely exhausted lately, my vision has changed, I've gained a significant amount of weight in only a short time, my menstrual cycle is out of whack (usually six weeks, but now its 7 weeks here, three weeks there, four weeks and then eight weeks)! Thyroid disorders also run in the family.

Rather my question is are my T3 and T4 results normal? and would it be, according to those stats, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism???

My mom died 10 years ago due to several different health problems, it all started off with bad blood, she had one thing wrong with the next, liver, kidney, you name it. She suffered for 19 years, and I was told I have alot of her symptoms, kidney disease, thyroid, and now liver damage. I am so tired of one doctor to the next, it seems they are never sure what I have definatly.
My question is I was recently told that my liver looked bad, but not for sure that it is damaged as of yet, I go for more test in a few days. DOES drinking make it worse? Am I suppose to totally stop all together, and besides medication through the years and drinking, is there any other way that I got this? What is your advise on whether you think drinking is going to make it worse or not, and is there something I can do to keep me healthier like does excerise even help or taking vitamians, cause I am SO tired of finding horrible doctors that never know whats going on anymore!

Cure for Cronhns Disease !?

My name is Caesar J. B. Squitti a wrighter and researcher of sorts. (discovered anti-truths 1994: http://www.thejesuschristcode.com )

It appears that mainstream science has ignorned a simple cause of many illlnesses (a set of symptoms) and that is an unknown bacteria or parasite.

There are simple treatments for this disease, beginning with a wide spectrum antibiotic (erthomycin or garlic piece (not cut) plus fiber and probiotics (yogurt and saurerkraut).

This treats a lower intestinal infection that can cause intestinal problems, and ultimately a corruption of the bodies biochemical balances that can cause other symptoms, we call diseases such as MS, Depression, Schizophrenia, and some Cancers.

If you are suffering from intestinal problems were you aware of this ?

If not please look up 'herbal treatments' for Crohns.

Good Luck !

I am facing a problem of having a sudden attack of weakness in my legs. When the attack come, you would feel like your energy and strength in your legs being drained out of it and won't be able to stand firm on the ground.

Any advise on what it might be??

Any help you can give is welcome.
In January I had a flu and pneumonia shot - recommended because I am a teacher (never doing that again!). I reacted to one of the shots... the muscles in my arms started to quiver and shake. That went away.

A week later I got a chest infection and was treated for 2 weeks with 500 dose amoxicillin.

Now (for the past 2 weeks) I've been having leg pains (like growing pains in puberty) and weakness in my legs. My arms are starting to feel the same way.

I do not usually get sick. I've had maybe 2 colds in the past ten years. I'm 34. I am tired all the time and really sick of this. I live in Northern Canada... if I go to our Nursing Station they'll just send me home with a bottle of Tylenol and tell me to rest. All I know is that I feel REALLY strange... and not in a good way!

Any advice? Am I over-reacting by linking all these medical events together?

I've been dieting really hard all week...like barely eating. Friday night I had salmon, a small serving of pasta and some bread. After about 10-15 minutes, everything started feeling "far away"...I couldn't focus -- I felt disjointed, and I dropped to the floor. I could barely speak, couldn't focus, was shaking (husband said I looked like I had no control of my upper body). Afterwards I was really thirsty for some reason.

Tried to work out later that night and after about an hour of working out, the same thing happened, although not as bad.

Last night I had a big dinner (outback) and it happened again.

Background -- I do have a brain tumor. It's a pituitary microadenoma, which means it's really small, so it shouldn't be playing a role in this. I'm fine pretty much the rest of the day if I'm not eating.

Were these seizures?

I had an EEG done because of visual disturbances. I had spike and spike wave complexes in my occipital and parietal lobes.

the trouble is that i had this test done abroad and couldnt have things explained properly. they told me i had epilepsy, which i dont think becasue my visual disturbances are 24/7 and get worse each day.

these spike and spike wave complexes occured during the hyperventilation stage and in this time i was getting a VERY tight chest from hyperventilating.

i am awaiting an appt with a neurologist at home to get it analysed or another test done.

any pointers??

what can cause the spikes n spike waves? could it be my tight chest??? i dont know anything.

i have no history of siezure. i am having big issues with circulation and tingling fingers etc. i also had an mri - apparently clear. blood work - fine. heart - good.

could this be epilepsy without seizures? what could it be if not epilepsy?
