No, you actually can't do that. The virus may be called the same but the cells in your mouth differ from those on your genitalia . . . Herpes 1 and Herpes 2, the meilinated sheet cells cannot span accross the membranes on your genitalia and there for the Herpes in your mouth can only spread from saliva to saliva. . . your safe!!! Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

Yes, you absolutely can. Be very careful about touching your cold sore and then anywhere else, genitals, eyes, even skin. I saw a baby that got herpes of its scalp from the grandmothers kiss who had a herpes sore on her lip. Use an antij-viral med or OTC like Zylactin as soon as you notice redness or burning. Also don't share your towel or glass of water, utensil, etc, with anyone else.

Yes you can!
Seen it happen many times. You can spread herpes1 and 2 the same way.Beleive it or not you can spread strep from your mouth to your genitalia! I work in an urgent care I have seen it all.
