my joints! I am in alot of pain and I have three people that are totally dependent on me (two young children and my older, sick Mom.) My Dr. did the blood work for confirmation of RA or Lupus finding no evidence of either. This is all over joint pain. It's been going on for a few months, begining in my left knee. I began using a cane and sometimes walker when at home. Now, the other knee, my hands are also my feet and ankles. My knee is very swollen and hurts like mad! My hands are stiff and every little joint in them hurt. In the morning, they are as stiff as boards and difficult to move and they go numb alot. My energy level is low and my life is starting to fall apart! My Dr.said that there is a virus that can attack the joints and lasts for four or five months (I'm hoping it's that vs. RA! ) We live in a three story home and my day involves constant runnnig up and down the stairs! An suggestions or knowlege about this awful pain?I am only 42! I would really appreciate it! Cindy

Within 4-5 hours of waking up my eyes are blood shot red. If I don't take a nap during the day I feel like I will pass out by 9 pm and feel utterly exhausted, even if i don't do anything that day. Also, right after I eat I always feel hungry (and no i'm not fat at all and i exercise regulary).
I took a blood test and it said there was nothing wrong and I am not experiencing any emotional or mental problems. Plus I take vitamins, so I don't know what could be wrong with me?

This is a terrible situation. My husband had a 1/2 glass of a vodka cranberry cocktail left out on a sofa table overnight. Last night our son tipped the glass over and started screaming. I am not sure if he tasted it or not- obviously we were too alarmed cleaning him up and comforting him. Since then, (it has been over 12 hours) he has vomited once and had diahrrea twice this morning. I have given him pedialyte this last hour. His spirits are great, no fever, etc. All last night he was fine- he didn't seem out of it or incoherant. We are very responsible parents, and this was a completley unexpected situation that is not common in our household- so please no judgments! I'd just like opinions from parents or a health professional if this sounds as if he is simply passing any possible consumption or if I should be worried and seek medical treatment. My instincts tell me he is just fine- I just don't understand the diahrea and vomiting this morning.

I catch breast infected cold. Doctor prescribed two 800000 unit and one 1000000 unit penicillin. I used them. My neck and breast started to perspiration when sleeping. Is it an alarm for other serious disease?

They were heated the night before, leftovers put in a plastic storage container, then I see my fiance pigging out on them the next night without reheating it or anything... Now he's sick to his stomach and throwing up, but no fever? At least not yet I guess? His stomach started hurting the worst around 5am, he probably ate them around dinnertime yesterday evening (so maybe 5-7ish) I can't remember exactly, I don't know what else would cause it. We both ate the same leftover cake (only a few days old from a bakery, been in the fridge) and for dinner he had a buffalo chicken sandwich from the school dining facility (we're seniors in college) which is just a few chicken tenders w/ buffalo sauce and bacon and ranch dressing, has had it at least once I week. My first thoughts went to the beans though. So far it's just stomach pain and throwing up twice already.

I have been with this doc only a few months, he knows nothing about me! I have been an insomnia sufferer for some years now and when I changed my doc I thought I would try and get off the zopiclone tabs I was on, so I did not mention them to my new doc. However, within a week I was pacing the floor again, and so, I returned and asked to have the zopiclone reinstated. He refused , saying that his clinic had a policy of getting patients off these drugs, but, he was quit easy about giving me an antidepressant drug in its place called amitriptyline which is used to treat bulimia,to prevent migrain and to treat a pathalogical weeping, laughing syndrome assosiated with multiple sclerosis. I have none of these conditions. Should I seek help elswhere?

I've just returned from the doctor who took my blood pressure. It was "150 over 105". He said that it was a little high but I just needed to try and relax for a few days and it would reduce. My question is: does this seem very high or just a little high by normal standards?
Thanks!

I have apperently got a "fatty cyst" on my heel (it hurts quite alot) its on the right hand side and its on the left foot. I went to my GP and they told me that I shud have it X-RAYED I did and it came back clear with nothing stuck to the bone, or anything like that. They made an oppointment for me to see the orthopaedic surgeon. If they feel that I need to have an operation then what are the risks ?? will I need crutches ?? I am only 12 so will I need a general anesthetic ?? will there be a scar ?? How long will it take ?? Please Please, Please, can you asnswer all of my questions Im very curious. Oh and PLEASE don't say "why dont you ask the orthopaedic all the questions" because I dont really like asking questions to doctors I really dont like doing that. Please answer them :) thankyou

My grandmother is in her 80's and is a very independent person - one of the reason's I like her so much. She's always been very healthy and taken long walks. However, she's got a longstanding problem with her knee that's recently gotten worse, to the point where she's limiting her walks greatly because sometimes the knee goes out and she's got to grip on to something. She has a walking stick that's helpful when she carries it. I'd like to help somehow, but I know she's not likely to go to the doctor. I asked her once and she told me that doctors don't like old people (I personally know she is the one who doesn't like doctors). Does anyone know of products for older people that look good and actually help? Would a visit to a physical therapist be helpful? There's no way she's having knee surgery at this age. Why do all products for older people look so sterile. Please help - I really hate to see my grandmother dealing with this.

This is driving me crazy! It could be freezing cold outside but yet, my palms and feet feel like they are Boiling HOT. There are also times, when they are freezing cold when it is hot outside. My body changes temperatures time to time. There are days when I cant sleep at night because my feet are boiling as hell along with my palms. This doesn't happen everyday, but happens quite often
