Within 4-5 hours of waking up my eyes are blood shot red. If I don't take a nap during the day I feel like I will pass out by 9 pm and feel utterly exhausted, even if i don't do anything that day. Also, right after I eat I always feel hungry (and no i'm not fat at all and i exercise regulary).
I took a blood test and it said there was nothing wrong and I am not experiencing any emotional or mental problems. Plus I take vitamins, so I don't know what could be wrong with me?

Immediately, I wonder if you might have sleep apnea or narcolepsy. Sleep disorders can make you tired after very little exertion. Sleep disorders can cause the body to work harder during sleep than normal. For example a person's heart can stop several times during the night for a brief period of time which makes the body have to reprogram itself, so to speak therefore sleep is sporadic and deep sleep or REM (rapid eye movement) is not peak. All that work during sleep, can you imagine?
No wonder you're easily tired!
Also, breathing is impacted during the sleep cycle.
My advice is to get sleep tests to determine if the quality of sleep is diminshed due to a sleep disorder. You might benefit from a sleep strip, like Breathe Right or another one. You can pick them up at a local pharmacy.
Best!!!

Blood shot eyes? Drinking too much? If not, the other symptoms sound like diabetes. But I am not a medical person. If you are taking vitamins and eating regular meals seems you should be o.k. but evidently you aren't. I would continue to talk to my doctor and if they can't/won't try harder to find out what is wrong I would seek a second opinion. There is obviously something wrong..Noone should feel as you describe yourself. Have you been checked for "low blood sugar"? Good Luck

If you haven't already, I would suggest an upper GI series to rule out an ulcer or IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).
Sometimes, if you are stressed out, IBS can rear its ugly head whether you have a history of emotional problems or not.
The being hungry right after you eat, though, points to a peptic ulcer.
I would get that checked out.
The utter exhaustion could be anything, but I'm more apt to point to the fact that you're making yourself anxious over this current dilemma, and it's taking too much out of you.

I have the same problem. You sleep to much and you are bored. It has to do with a mind thing. I could sleep all day if you let me, get up eat and go back to sleep. When I am around friends, having fun I sometimes forget that I was even like that. It it a form of depression mixed with stress. Go out, have fun!

Sounds like you might be needing more water. Drink a 8 oz glass of water before each meal. Dehydration also causes these problems.

Pardon me if this is inappropriate, but could you be expecting?
Other conditions which spring to mind are iron deficiency, anaemia, intestinal worms (sorry!) - or have you been anywhere exotic recently where you might have picked up a weird condition? I think you should go back to your doctor for more tests. Or you could try for advice. Good luck!

You are under a lot of stress, in your life. Because when I am under a lot of stress, I am always hungry and tired. Try taking some yoga classes, or mediation, because i find it helps.
