Herpes Zoster is also known as "shingles"....in order to get shingles, you must have had chicken pox at some point in your life, as the virus lies dormant in nerves and can come out later in life as shingles...they are NOT contagious..check out WebMD...best place for most health questions...shingles start out as a tingling on the skin...then a raised red area and finally painful blisters...they follow nerves, and therefore can be anywhere on the body...
I have been battling shingles since my 20's...as I am a rare, chronic sufferer...

You have Shingles and they are very painful. When they are in the stage of being little blisters some one else(children can catch chicken pox if they haven't been vaccinated against it). Expect the blisters to go about half way around you body. Once the blisters dry I don't think any body can catch the chicken pox. You'll have a lot of pain for some time to come, and you'll need to wear clothes that won't rub where the blisters are or where for quite some time. See you doctor and ask if he can have a compounding drug store to make a cream from Lidocaine powder, as it helps a lot. After the blisters are gone OTC Solarcaine helps a good bit. You'll have red blotches for a long time and maybe some scaring--praying this is not on your face and in a place where it won't be seen!

I got diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 years ago, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I know lots of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/BELuP everything got better.

Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience real love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

it is caused by the chicken pox virus that lays dormant in your nerve till something triggers it when you get older. If you get it stay away from children or pregnant women. It is very painful and can last weeks to months. Usually treated with valtrex.
