A friend of mine has been diagnosed as bi-polar. She's taking her medicine, but it's not having an affect on her rather paranoidal thinking. She's in her early 30s. Is therapy more difficult the longer the condition remains basically untreated?

She is 29 and a lovely, wonderful (never in trouble, ever)single mother of 3 small children. She has epilepsy, a scar on her brain (left side) and a pituitary (back of head) brain tumor. For 2 years she has gone to drs. and has no money for surgery. They say, "Come back when you have insurance or cash!". She can't get insurance since diagnosed. She has been turned down for any government help and is slipping through the cracks of the system. Surely there is a way in America (Texas) that can get the job done. She is oh so very ill. What can I do? The things that happen to her on the side (such as bleeding, seizures, can't function normal routine, etc) are killing her. What can I do????? She was never ever sick until 2 years ago. We been doing this that long. Found her on the floor this morning and thought she was dead. Emergency room just sent her home.

In the last 7 months I have been eating very healthy; I've only drank water, milk, and juice for over a year; and I've been taking a good multivitamin, echinacea with vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamins A & D every day. I take probiotics when I can remember before I go to bed; and I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
3 weeks ago I had a sore throat, and I lost half of my voice, after about a week, I was pretty much over it. then 3 days ago I started coughing and my throat got sore again, I lost almost all of my voice yesterday, and I didn't have any energy at all! I didn't even feel like moving. I've been coughing up this nasty junk. and I feel a lot better today. I know this stuff is going around like crazy, but is there anything more I can do to prevent from getting it again?

It dosn't feel muscular, and it's right on the spine. Anhy suggestions...(other than see your doctor or go to the chiropractor) Thanks!

When I saw a specialist doctor, he pointed out that I have joint hypermobility, possibly related to Marfan Syndrome. He also pointed out that it was unusual for my thumbs to bend back at the middle joint to almost 90 degrees - I always thought everyone could do that.
I have just noticed that my big toes can go upwards at a 90 degree angle to my foot.
Can anyone else do this with their toes, or is it also unusual?

the stool is a dark brown and it is all water. i have had food poisening before and this doesn't feel like that. my stomach was never terribly upset. last night i had a sandwich for dinner with chips and pretty much i have been eating sandwiches every day and maybe yogurt for breakfast. i was wondering if my body was having an adverse reaction to the anti-inflammatories that i take. i have never had a reaction like this before. also i take vitamins. i am in saudi arabia right now but live in the US. i travel abroad all of the time but have never had an instance like this. i am 36 and in pretty good health because i am a professional athlete by trade.

My mocks start tomorrow, and I have severe IBS, which can be brought on by panic attacks due to stress.

My IBS was triggered recently by antibiotics, and at the moment I have to do to the toilet almost every hour, which is usually followed by a panic attack.

Some of my mocks are over 2 hours long, and so I dont know what to do if I have a panic attack! Help!!

I had my tonsils taken off 3 weeks ago.
I feel very happy since they troubled me a lot for 10 years. I had so many passes inside and i was drinking it all!!! I was non stop stomach problems. Now I feel clear.

But I just wonder why I am feeling a bit of ear pain time to time, or after a small glass of brandy, next day I feel I am having this mucus inside my throat that I have to keep swollowing and it keeps coming again. Do you think I have swollen throat now? Shoud I worry after the operation? Also the cold weather isn't helping. But I am fine, just I feel there is something in my neck through down part since the operation. It feels pasta stuck in the throat, if you know what i mean!

Please help if you know anyone adult who has taken them off and what I should expect??? Strange feeling! Before I had one tonsil big and other small and I know I would feel dropping down while I lied in bed. Now it feels something missing and don't know what!
