How long does it take a tongue to heal?

The other day I bit my tongue while in some anxiety attack. It still hurts. I didn't bleed. It's painful depending on how I hold my tonge. How long will it take to get better?

The tongue is a muscle and muscles heal from the inside out.

When you bit your tongue, even though it didn't bleed you probably damaged the muscle tissue underneath the surface too.

It wlll take about 3-4 days to heal completely.
