My mocks start tomorrow, and I have severe IBS, which can be brought on by panic attacks due to stress.

My IBS was triggered recently by antibiotics, and at the moment I have to do to the toilet almost every hour, which is usually followed by a panic attack.

Some of my mocks are over 2 hours long, and so I dont know what to do if I have a panic attack! Help!!

I am at school at the moment, and If I think I am about to get a panic attack, I ask to leave the room

First of all, take deep breaths regularly, this will really calm you down. Do a few every few hours, take a deeeeep breath, hold for 4,exhale for 4....also AVOID all caffeine, this really made a difference with my panick attacks, that inc. coffee, tea, coke etc & chocolate.

I tried crystal therpy for PA's very successfully. get a piece of SODALITE, (Eaby has them)cleanse it first by placing in brown rice for 24 hrs (& do this every few months) Then place the crystal on your solar plexus on wherever u get the attcks & they'll be gone in alittle while.

If you go for exams, again take some deep breaths before, pre. sit in a quiet corner for about 10-15 mins & take slow deep breaths & use the affirmation: I am calm (repeat this slowly & your brain will listen & obey!)..
sorry if all this sounds bit new ageish! & hope you do well in your exams!
lots of luv

not the best time to get an attack but that's the joy of an unpredictable illness.all you can do is explain to the invigilator and teachers that you are suffering from a bad bout but want to do the exam and if need to be supervised on a toilet break then that is what it takes.one thing about it that you never get used to.imagine me on my wedding day - maybe white isn't such a good colour?!

Tell you exam invidulators as soon as you get to school. They can isolate you and put you in a room by yourself so they can escort you to the toilet if needs be. You should be able to find an exam invidulator at your school office. Good luck.

mocks aren't controlled by the examining board so they don't count towards your final grade, have a word with your teachers, after all they will be marking them and could give you more time to deal with it. basically mocks are there to help you prepare for your real exams, so if you **** up, it doesn't matter they don't count and you'll learn for the real exams.
