His wife has stopped keeping me posted and shes becoming increasingly difficult to deal with (understandable). I've never had a friend die; he's only 33. His liver is shot, his gallbladder and liver are swollen. He's highlighter yellow and rail thin. Will not eat or drink anything. He was d/c'd from the hospital last Friday and ended up in ICU by this Monday. Now, he's on dialysis. He has a tube in his rectum because of constant liquid diarrhea Until this happened (recently--as in, three weeks), we were so close. Now, he hallucinates and doesn't make sense most of the time. And, his wife is keeping me out of the loop; she doesn't want me involved. Has anyone ever gone thru this? He looks like he's dying. Have you ever heard of anyone living thru this? How do I cope with possibly losing my friend and not getting to see him? How to I deal with his wife and not create more problems? She and I used to be so friendly.

My husband has had 2 tests checking his gallbladder. One of the test came back and it said it could possibly be his gallbladder. This doctor wanted to take out his gallbladder, but we asked to be referred to another doctor because we didn't want the surgery done in our small town hospital. My husband's doctor referred him to a gastroenterologist in a larger city. The gastroenterologist said my husband's problems are not related to his gallbladder. This doctor has run several tests. My husband has had a colonoscopy, a barium test, several stool samples, and a blood test. We've als had our well water tested. All of the tests have come back without any problems. We don't know what to do now. My husband is not sleeping much anymore. My husband also has diarreah. He is not eating anything that should be causing that. He doesn't eat dairy products. We only drink Lactaid milk. My husband has lost 20 pounds The doctor is currently looking into his thyroid. Can someone help us

My husband and I once met a man who was very fidgiety. He was holding a piece of paper, and he kept rolling it up and unrolling it on the table we were sitting at. His body was moving a lot, and when he wasn't speaking, his lips were twitching a lot. Are these signs of parkinsons disease? The same illness that Michael J. Fox and Muhommad Ali have?

Ok, this hasnt happened but 3-4 times in 2 years. I will be doing nothing special and it is as if my left eye focuses about a quarter of an inch higher than my right. which causes a kind of double vision.
i get no headache. no anything. after about 4-5 minutes it corrects itself and I can focus again.

ok maybe my question was unclear. for the person who answered this last post. i know that i don't have active tb but the test means that at some point in my life i have been exposed to the germ, term latent tb(LTBI). all the research that i have done on this says that the 2step test can't give a false + but i say sometimes there are a few rare people who break all the STANDARD rules. is there anyone out there that this has happeded to? (neg. pos.)( neg. neg.)(the results of 2 different 2step skin tests taken 14mo. appart)everyone says not to take the test ever again if you test + that you will always test +(apperently not true). also the meds. used to treat LTBI (inh) NOT SKIN TEST can cause headaches. has anyone experienced this side effect? what about allergic reaction from the test (tubersol)not b/c of possible LTBI?
how hard is it going to be to get this straightened out w/health dept.? i suggest that you go w/your gut, get a 2nd opinion sometimes the standard rules can be wrong.

My techer is having me do a project over a genetic disorder and I someone to answer some of my questions over Huntington's Disease.

I can't find images where it shows the physical affects on people who have Huntington's Disease. Is there a photo gallery or website that shows the physical affects on this sort of disease?

Also trends show that people in their 30's or 40's are diagnosed and die in 10-20 years. Can young people die from this disorder as well ex.) 10-15 year olds?

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!

screaming with pain and saying she thought she thought she was going to faint.

She is well known for being a drama queen, especially when attention is focused on someone else, which it is today as one of our colleagues is leaving. We're all going out after work. The last something similar happened with the secretary it was the day of our Christmas party which also put a dampner on things.

I tried to keep her as calm and comfortable as possible until her husband came to collect her (she refused to go to hospital or let us get an ambulance).

Do you really think something could be wrong with her or does she behave like this for attention. I'm afraid she will cry wolf too often but also feel guilty for doubting her. She is a real hypochindriac.

Any one out here have Graves Disease? I do, mildly, and I struggle with it. I've been to all the Dr.'s and basically there is nothing that can be done. I'm ok in the mornings but as the day progresses it gets worse, but not too bad. I have to tilt my head to the right to see clearly, watch tv, etc. If you have it too, how do you deal with it?
