That would be me. Saturday night I have to work an extra hour on night shift! Ugh. Also, going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark is a real drag. I am a poster child for seasonal affective disorder!! Your thoughts?

It is a new system where if a GP decides his patient needs more specialist service will reffer them to a hospital to have an outpatient appointment with a consultant and will give the patient a letter to call the appt line to book using their refference number and password.

My GERD is so bad that I have difficutly swallowing. I am so scared that I will have to get my throat stretched.

Has anyone had difficulty swallowing from GERD that has been cured. If so, how?

I thought I was finally beginning to be cured of GERD, and then I went to an acupuncturist who is also a GI doctor. He said that he doesn't believe that I need to restrict my diet, as long as I just don't drink coffee. So I had apple cider with cinammon twice. And I took an orange flavored Airborne. My difficulty swallowing became worse!! He must've been wrong!!!!!!!! Can I still get better? If I have to get my throat stretched are there any success stories out there after this procedure? And...does it hurt??

I am 27 years old and about 6 months pregnant. This is my third baby and it has been a hard pregnancy. I lost 30 pounds due to vomiting and still havent really gained much weight. My doctor is not too worried cause i am a little overweight to begin with. I also have diabetes. I was diagnosed after the birth of my last child in 2003. I have been having a lot of heart pain for the past couple weeks. It is only on my left side, near my armpit, and it does go in my arm or sometimes my neck. The pain i feel is different then i have ever felt.Meaning heartburn ect. It is a painful burning and sharp pain that usually doesnt last too long. My BP has always been good--usually on the lower side. But my heartrate has been on the faster side almost always. Usually 90-110. But now i am not only having pain but becoming out of breath and weak all the time and my HR is raising and is now usually between 130-160 often, even if i am not very active. Please help!

I have constant headaches and burning in my head. I have had an MRI and my doctor has found many lesions on my brain. However, I do not have insurance to cover the cost of testing. While I do not have major problems with my legs, arm or eyes. I do feel heavyiness, and a falling asleep senstion in my legs and
my arms have fallen asleep more than once. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced the burning. My doctor said that the demylination erodes the protective covering on nerves, and that there can be " friction" when the exposed nerves touch.

Well, I've got gall---as in one big gallstone and while it's not bothering me the potential is there. And you know how these things never flare at a convenient moment....

So, I should schedule to remove it. Laproscopy, seems pretty straight forward, I'm overweight, but the surgeon said he's done people way heavier and it wasn't a real issue (he apparently hasn't been jeans shopping with me).

Anyone had this done? What can I expect? The surgeon said a 1-3 week recovery, I'm pretty healthy and have a good attitude so I'm optimistic I will bounce back fairly quick. Thanks for any insights? I'm acting pretty brave, but secretly a bit scared. I'm looking to schedule after the holidays as I have kids, and need to be 100% for the next 8 weeks.

Thanks!

Does anyone know of anybody that is beating this addiction? My brother was clean for a few weeks, doing great, and now he's using again. I know this is a very addictive drug. I feel hopeless. I know there is nothing I can do or say to help him. I feel like I just wanna turn my back, but I love him so much. I don't want to deny him of my love and suppourt, but I dont want to enable him, either. He started this past july.

Just wondering if someone might have experienced or have a family member who has had this problem. Yesterday, I kind of felt something weird, or like a bit of pain that I hadnt felt before, so I decided to examine. There was a pink discolorated place beside my anus (but not in it or anything). Anyway, if you push on it, it feels like a hard lump. I freaked out and went to the ER because my worst fear is cancer. The doctor just said "I'm sorry but I dont know what that could be". He put me on antibiotics and said to take a bath 4Xs a day and referred me to a surgeon (again, another of my worst fears). This problem has a dull, warm, aching pain. Its kind of a lot like an ingrown hair, but worse and no head on it like an ingrown hair has. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what this could be. I am really worried about it and have never known of it to happen to anyone else. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
