Have you ever breastfed? or do you have an aggressive boyfriend? LOL...
Dry Skin. Nipples can become chapped from the expansion of the skin and the continued wetness from the baby's mouth.
Other Causes such as improper suck, thrush (a yeast infection), eczema, or improper use of a breast pump may require the help of someone who has been trained to assist with these problems. If soreness occurs after baby has been breastfeeding well and you have been nursing comfortably, contact a La Leche League Leader or lactation consultant.
Eczema is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the upper layers of the skin. The term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent or recurring skin rashes characterized by redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, with possible crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing or bleeding. Areas of temporary skin discoloration sometimes characterize healed lesions, though scarring is rare.

If you were pregnant I'd say that it's formed by dry breast milk deposits, or caused by hormonal changes. However under normal circumstances such a crust shouldn't be there. Speak to your doctor or ob/gyn.

Ummm...can't tell if you are male or female, but if you are a child bearing age female, it could be colostrum...if you are male, in all seriousness, go see a doc...men can get breast cancer too.
If you are a female, it can't hurt to talk to your doc either...

Not enough information.
Are you male or female?
How frequently does it show up?
Do you shower regularly?

I can see that you don't want to rush into anything, so you may want to wander around to see your doctor sometime, if you think about it.

You need to tell your Dr about this. It can be a sign of a problem...
