I would like to know more about RLS. I have a problem of needing to stretch my legs out when I sleep and feel a constant tingling from the knees down. It is almost impossible to ignore and can keep you from sleeping. It doesn't occur every night and I'm a very healthy person, vitamin wise and body weight. Just wondering.

i have seen warnings on certain over-the-counter medications, like cough syrup, not to use it if you are taking an MAOI inhibitor.

my mom told me a long time ago, "if you don't know what it is, then you're not taking it". (i think saying "i don't know" would have sufficed.)

anyway...can anyone tell me what an MAOI inhibitor is? Thanks!

I mean is there like a disease or disorder for people who cry a lot. I really try not to be so emotional but the tears just come. I cry when i am happy, when i am sad, when i am overly exited, when i hear sad things on the news, i mean why are my emotions so crazy? On average I cry about 4 times a week and it is driving me crazy. It feels like i have no control over my tears. My eyes look tired and puffy and i am sick of it, does this happen to anyone else? How can i cope with this? Am i like a freak!?!?

I am already taking antidepressants but find that although I have tried several different ones nothing seems to be working. I am in my early 50's and also find that the older I get the deeper intrenched I become in fear of social settings. I have tried to explain the overwhelming panic that I experience if I have to interact with the public but it seems there is little understanding. Does anyone have any idea how I can counteract this Social Phobia?

I am 21 and have been diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease. I have always been very healthy, and do not smoke, so i believe it is quite rare at my age. I have had pain on and off for over 2 years now, and currently for the last 6 months straight. I used to play basketball, it was my life, and in a way still is, I really just wanna know if I'll be able to play again. If anyone has had DDD and found a good solution that has worked for them please let me know your story. I have tried all the exercieses, anti-inflam., and chiropractor for months but have yet to find a solution besides injections or surgey which looks to be next on my list. I dont need a total painfree solution, I can play through pain, but it totally locks my core up when i try to do anything. So if anyone has any solutions, or has had the injections or surgey please let me know what happened good or bad. I kno even doctors arent always rt, so i want to get some other opinions from people who have been thru this, thx

Was just wondering if anyone out there has a child with the same problems or with just either problem. How do you cope? Any one have a child who has gone through teens with these problems. Do they rebel and do they learn to eat properly and take care of themselves?
Just worrying about how my child will cope in the real world when she starts main stream school with peer pressure such a big problem!!

I am so glad I found this forum! My ex-husband had a septic infection supposedly caused by a kidney infection. Now he has what appears as "clouds" around his brain, and now he is very different, gets lost when driving, jumbles his words...he says its from the sepsis and will go away, maybe? Please give advice, we have 2 kids together and i'm worried he will never get better, he's getting worse all the time and that's all he will tell me.

I know this dude where i live ok. His diet every single day of the week consists of a ciggarette when he wakes up, even tho he don't sleep much. When he does however and he wakes up rolls a smoke in bed, roughly 10 or so mins later he arises out of the futon bed he sleeps on. He gets up takes a squirt aka piss, comes out Grabs his bottle of Mogadon (a sedative) washes them down with roughly 500mls of coke, rolls 5 more cigs. Consumption of food consists how much cas he has money he will go to KFC 18 nuggets, large potato and gravy.a 1.5 litre bottle of coke. No money a cheap home brand pizza. After he consumes the food he proceeds to the medicine cabinet and washes 10 avil (hay fever drug gets you stoned apparently) and every 3 hours consumes another 3. Come 3pm well he starts on his liquid lunch that being on average 15 cans of midstrength beer. Sits on his ass all day long no exercise whatsoever. This guy is 33. I think he will lucky to survive 33 hours been doin it 4 3 mth

I had laser surgery last week on my left eye called YAG Laser Surgery to remove the film build up on my new lens placed in my eye after cataract surgery. I went to my eye surgeon as a follow up appointment today. After a thorough examination and based also on what I told him, the doctor told me that there is a lot of inflammation in my eye. He told me that I have arthritis in my eye! He gave me Prednisone (an anti-inflammatory drug) to put in my eye 4 times a day. I am scheduled to go back to my eye surgeon on the 8th of November.

Has anyone ever had this problem before or has heard of it? How common is it to have arthritis in an eye? What kind of arthritis can get into an eye? I was completely speechless when he told me about this! I tried to look it up, but to no avail. Can anyone help me? Serious answers only please. Thank you.
