Do NOT just stop taking adderall. That can cause big problems. You have to wean yourself off of it. You have to step it down over a period of weeks to keep the withdrawl from causing you some pretty nasty side effects, which can, in rare instances include death.
Here is a site that lists adderall's side effects
http://www.add-adhd-help-center.com/adderall_side_effects.htm
You may want to rethink taking it while NOT under a doctors care since some of those side effects can be long term heart problems and other fairly severe health problems.
To kind of quote Bill Maher...to go in and ask your doctor for a specific medication makes the doc more your "supplier" or your pusher than your doc.
It's better to go in and talk to the doc and see what your issues are, and what med, if any, would be the best choice for you. taking drugs that are not yours can be dangerous.

Yes, you need to see a doctor. Taking drugs that are not yours can be dangerous. If you think that you need the drug because it is helping you with your ADHD, then go talk to your doctor about your symptoms and concerns and get him to give you your own prescription for the pills or see if there is something else he thinks you should take.

Yeah but don't tell him you've been taking someone elses. Tell them you have a really hard time focusing. Don't listen to Bmac, It doesn't take weeks for you to get tested to get it. I looked up symptoms online about ADD and i went to my doctor and pretty much recited what i had learned about it but related it to me. The doctor gave me a perscription that day but he didn't give me adderall right away, he gave me Stratara or something like that and that **** isn't the same b/c it's doesn't give you the wakeing feeling and activness of adderall. But be careful, that stuff can get kinda bad if you abuse it, i gave it up after less than a year.

Wow. You are taking controlled substances that are not yours. You must want to go to jail?
You can't just get a doctor to give you Adderall. It is for severe ADHD. Takes weeks to test for it. IF you think you really have that, then go see your doctor.
And stop taking drugs that are not yours. They sure won't be giving it to you if you are in jail.

You should never take prescription medicines unless prescribed for you by your doctor. That can be very dangerous.

i don't even know what Adderall is for (not unitl i read one of the responses), but one thing i know for sure, you shoudn't take anything that is not yours (or prescribed for you) even though you know someone who has the exact signs and symptoms as yours, there are some indications and contraindication drugs MD's has to adhere to as to prescribing drugs...
the best thing to do is to go to your PCP (primary care provider), have yourself examined... and he will probably refer you for Psyche consult... because, you definitely have some issues...

Wow...this is very dangerous. If you think you need it, then you should get tested for it. If your body is having a problem, you are only creating a bigger chemical imbalance by taking something that is not ment for you. Good luck!
