yes, you can smoke cigarettes. I hope that you are getting counseling on top of taking the antabuse. If you are not, you have a greater chance of continuing drinking after stopping the medicine. Good luck, and be proud of yourself for wanting to stop.

Well Nil, logically I'd say no - quit smoking too. The Antabuse can help with your addictions. And, frequently people that drink, smoke and there can be a strong connection to smoking and drinking at the same time. It's kind of like when I DID drink that was the only time I absolutely craved a smoke. (I quit smoking first) It's that mental connection - have a drink, have a smoke and "relax". Try quitting both. Do yourself a favor. Good luck to you - take it one day at a time. Beleive in yourself Nil. Know that you CAN and WILL be successful!

Cigarettes? Yes, you can smoke cigarettes. Good luck with the Antabuse. Please remember it can only do so much. You have to also go to AA meetings. You need help from other alcoholics--who have all been where you are right now. They can tell you how they did it.
You never have to pick up another drink. Ever.

yes because Antabuse stops the breakdown of alcohol...it all depends on what you are smoking...because antabuse only stops the above..it sits on your stomach like a vingear type substance.
