Ok, this hasnt happened but 3-4 times in 2 years. I will be doing nothing special and it is as if my left eye focuses about a quarter of an inch higher than my right. which causes a kind of double vision.
i get no headache. no anything. after about 4-5 minutes it corrects itself and I can focus again.

When was the last time you had your eyes checked? Sounds like you need glass! Or you need to go see a doc it could be something worse than needing glasses

Could happen when you're tired. Eyes have a way of going glassy or out of focus when the eye muscles are tired. All the same I'd be inclined to see an optometrist for advice just in case it's more serious. Or you could try Jacob Lieberman's book "Take off your Glasses and See" which has many ways of improving your vision and eye health.

So you might have lazy eye...
Not sure if you can do anything about that. Then again, most eye conditions can get lenses to fix them these days... so ideally you'd have to ask an optician and not just some random folks in this site...

Could be a number of things from a lazy eye, high blood pressure or detached retina. However, whatever it is, it isn't normal. You should make an appointment to see an optician and discuss your symptoms in full with him/her.

Maybe you should talk to an eye doctor. They would be able to tell you if this is a problem or not.
