My husband has just developed shingles and the doctor told him my son could catch chicken pox or shingles from him. My son is three years old. He is not vaccinated for Chicken Pox. How long is the incubation period...when can I expect him to come down with it if he is going to get it?

If you have a cut or scrap, or some sort of injury that you usually but alcohol or hydroperoxide on..dont! Yes it will kiss the germs, but it will also kiss your things that fight off infection! So my doctor said don't put anything ,on those type of wounds, that you wouldn't put in your eye, so i recoment contact solution = ]

i have it on the back of my neck, and i'm trying a couple of things so far to early to see if it's working to get rid of it, but tomorrow i'm going out and want to cover it up so it doesn't get on my dress and the sweater i'm borrowing from my cousin, would liquid bandage actully keep it confined?

i know all about it and i am taking care of it, it just takes awhile for it to go a way, and don't want an obvious bandage on tomorrow so i'm just woundering about liquid bandage.(i work in an animal hospital so that where i got if from.)

When I was 5 years old I got the chicken pox, but it was caught very early and I was given a shot to stop it, because my mom was pregnant. So, I have no clue whether I can get it or not. And I'm freakin out because this guy I work with has shingles and I worked with him like twice while he had it...and I read that you can get chicken pox from someone who had shingles..uhmm.. HELP? thanks =]

I got sick on sunday:( and i still feel terrible. I have an extremly sore throat, 101.4 fever, and im coughing like crazy. I took mucinex, nightquil, day quil.(not all at once) and nothing has made me feel better.
I only work friday, sat, sunday, monday. and i called in on monday. I work with children, and 6 other people, and i dont want to get anyone else sick. Especially the kids. My boss is very very..um...business oriented and i really think she is going to have a problem with me taking friday off too. Especially bc i am probably going to have to stay home over the weekend too. Its hurts so badly just to talk.

Do think i should stiffen up and tell my boss im sick? Or suck it up and go into work. any other options? any advice?

I have known so many ppl in the last few months that have this condition and now they diagnosed me with this. They have given me a round of triple antibiotics. IS there anything else I can do to be sure it doesnt come back. What causes this? I rarely eat meat, let alone unclean meats. ITs very rare that I would do that. If you know, help me out and I will spread the news. IT seems to be something that is getting diagnosed a lot nowadays.

I have the stomach flu, and I'm afraid to eat more than a snack. I have a headache of abnormal pain levels. I know it should be obvious, but I should eat as much as I can stomach, right?

I have active adult chicken pox and have had this tingling for 3 days now since the blisters have shown up. I do NOT have shingles. I know shingles are more likely to cause tingling sensations, but do chicken pox as well? How long with the tingling last? Thank you.

My sister in law contracted Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus and was treated with antibiotics. Is she still contagious? I am not trying to be a germophobe, but I have a 9 month old in the house and I've read all sorts of scary things about babies contracting Staph and it killing them within days. She was treated several months ago and the infection "went away" but I am still curious if she is a carrier.

Hello, I have family in Puerto Rico & I go there alot. I also have a 2 year old son that gets bit alot. I was wondering if dengue fever is curable?? I mean I know its a virus & viruses live in us forever right? But I mean is it permanent like HIV or is it like the flu virus where it goes away?? Also Do they the have Dengue Hemorrhagic fever strain in PR?? If so, is this curable or treatable also? & if it is treatable: again I mean does it go away completely? Thank you. I will choose 10 points.

...because I have heard stories about a glove "tearing" and infectious fluids came in contact with a cut or scrape leaving the caregiver infected. I am a nursing assistant with a family and I don't think I could ever forgive myself if I somehow contracted AIDS. I am working on another career choice that would put me doing more paper work, less patient care. Any suggestions on how I can maybe change my thinking on this?
