Chronic bronchitis is part of COPD, a precurser to Emphysema. It is not contagious, and yess, if you let it progress, you will die trying to suck in oxygen.
Over the weekend, an elderly woman a few miles away blew herself, her dog, and her house sky high when she lit a cigarette while wearing her oxygen cannula.

You should not die from bronchitis. Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi's and is not as bad as pneumonia. it is self limiting, not contagious.

It is contagious just not sure that you can die from it because you're a smoker.

no, it's not contaigious. if it were, my whole family would be sick. it's an inflamation of the bronchi and cannot be spread. no, you can't die from it.
