I'm on Plaquenil which I think my Rheumatologist told me was used to treat malaria. Its also used for a lot of Rheumatoid and Autoimmune diseases too though. Maybe research that a little... sorry I don't have a better answer. Good luck!

Quinine was the original treatment for Malaria. You will find quinine in Tonic water. Basically that how the Gin and Tonic was invented.... medicinal purposes...
