If you ever have any doubts, go see a doctor.
You should be OK for tetanus if you had a shot 2 years ago. Unless a medical professional cleans the wound within 6-8 hours, never close a deep wound. Allow it to drain. If there is infection present in the bottom of the wound when you body closes up the skin, an abscess will form and cause lots of problems.

circulate to the well being care provider you have got an infection and it may be severe. while you're working a low grade fever it extremely is clever to circulate to an emergency room. in case you notice a pink line going up the component of the wound or it extremely is heat to touch that's yet another indicator. in case you notice a pink line that's extremely risky. I guy or woman oftentimes shows the outcomes of tetanus approximately 8 days after the wear and tear which starts off with problems and jaw spasm. in case you waited 5 days before getting a tetanus shot i don't understand if it might help as a results of fact the micro organism has had 5 days to unfold into your physique. Did you tell the well being care provider how long you had waited before getting the shot?

First, it sounds like you were doing something you weren't supposed to be doing. Second- it can be very important about the tetanus shot. When did you have your last tetanus shot? You don't get just one- you get one every 10 years, AND one when you cut/stab yourself with a rusty object.Did the cut draw blood? You should tell your parents the truth- let them contact your doctor and let him/her decide if you need another shot.

How long ago did you have your last tetanus shot? During the fifth year they start weakening and then the protection becomes unreliable. So, if your last shot was less than five years ago, it's not a big worry, just clean the wound well with peroxide or some other antiseptic and protect it with a clean bandage.

If you were immunized in the past couple of years should be fine. Can't you go to the doctor without parents finding out?

It's better to have your parents worry than attend your funeral. Tetanus can be fatal, and you should be immunized every 10 years...get it NOW

The spores exist mostly in soil, so unless you use the blade for gardening it is unlikely to cause you any problems.
Besides - you already had the vaccine.
