It really depends on the situation. I think with UTI's, the body can generally fight them off after so long, however we like to get on antibiotics for them because they're so uncomfortable and we want to heal as quickly as possible.

okay, go to the health food store and get or ask the someone that worjs there to help you find Uva Ursi and Slippery Elm dried herbs. the Uva Ursi is usually the whole leaf but the Slippeey Elm is powdered. anyways,( if the U.U is whole, grind it to a powder or atkeast close) mix well 1\2 tsp of both in to 1 half a can of cat food ( they wont eat it on dried) and do this twice a day for 2 weeks. longer if nessaccary. this will infact work, i used it for one of my cats who had a bad UTI and she was all better, hasnt had any problems since and that was a year ago! i also use it on tons of other cats and animal and it never fails! people can take it too in tea. hope i could help. sorry about some of the spelling, using my cell phone, laptop broke!

It may be possible.

I had an untreated UTI for 8 months and by the time i started treatment it had spread to my kidneys.

Within 12 hours of starting antibiotics my kidneys failed and i ended up spending a week in hospital.

Yes. UTI can turn into kidney infections. Severe kidney infection can destroy your kidney. When your kidney ceases to function, toxin builds up in your body and destroys all of your other organs. So, yes, it can lead to death.

Yes you can. If the infection progresses it will get into your bloodstream and spread throughout your body. This happened to my mom, I thought she was going to die, she was in ICU for over a week, but she make it through. She doesn't remember that time at all.....

Yes, you can die from any infection that is not treated properly, As the infection can grow to the point that your body can't fight it and/or beyond the point where medical science can't help!

You are being a little extreme. Go out and by cranberry juice .Drink as much as you want. If you do not see any improvement see your doc for meds. Not life threatening I get it all the time.
