What can be done for atherosclerotic disease?

A few weeks ago, I began feeling a short pain in my chest followed by instant weakness and light headedness. The pain feels like being stabbed on the left side of my chest with each heart beat. I went to the doctor the second time this has happened and he told me that my heart looks good on X-Ray and sounds good, but I still feel the pain and lightheadedness occasionally. He said it may be caused by caffeine. And I've begun exercising more intensely so I was thinking it may be caused by hurting a chest muscle, but that doesn't explain the weakness. Has anyone else experienced this?

The other day I was writing an email and for no reason my heart started beating extremely fast and I felt like I couldn't catch my breath. Then my heart rate gradually went back to normal after about 30 sec and I was fine. This happened again this afternoon and I have no idea what it is caused from. I am 23 and I excercise three times a week and am overall in good health. Has this ever happened to anyone and do you know what it is caused from?

Answer in general and then please be specific: is diastolic pressure more important than systolic pressure? What is the relationship between the two?

Well, I was doing the tests to pass time and I had

66 as Systolic, 54 as Diastolic and 44 as pulse.

Where normal is 130 for systolic, 85 for Diastolic.

My grandfather suffers from high blood pressure and he tells me that is almost as if I was dead. This is freaking me out, I did it a couple of times to see if I had moved or the machine miscalculated. But the results weren't of great variation.
