my elderly friend (82 years old) had 2 major heart attacks and one minor, the most recent one was 7 months ago. recently he has alot of problem with short of breath, he must take a break from walking 10 metres to get his breath back , he is also quite obese. Now he has started drinking beer again, today he had 2 beer, yesterday one, his doctor made him quit drinking 5 years ago, now he took it up again. Also he has 1 litre of icecream every few day. My question is will these 'little' diet change coz any further illness based on his condition?

Quite possibly. But then, he might have taken the decision that it's better to live for a short period more while enjoying himself than living for a slightly less short period while abstaining.

I'm a nurse. I'm more concerned about him taking the two together. You see the ice cream with the beer will give him an upset stomach and make him vomit a lot. The shortness of breath is also alarming. He should discontinue the use of alcoholic beverages, but will he? I think that he probably won't. Maybe if he drinks the non alcoholic kind you buy them. Try putting them into a glass already and giving them to him and see if if will work. If not then tell him that you care and ask him to stop.

tell him a pitcher of pink wine is solid for his heart, more beneficial advantageous than the beer. And the icecream isn't helping his weight problems, which places more beneficial of a load on his damaged heart. in spite of this, besides the undeniable fact that, at age 80 2, he possibly feels he don't have a lot time left besides so he would to boot delight in what he has.

No. At least the physician has sound reasons for discouraging your friend from further beer drinking. A positive outlook to life is what your friend needs most.
