I prefer to hear from those who live with CHF & Edema daily, like me. I ask cause I have NO RESPONSE to diuretics. They fail to produce a drop of urine. Since Nov.06 my feet,ankles,calves, thighs, knees, thighs are rigid & swollen w/water& it's not getting better. What I wish to ask from you is this: YOu who live with edema & CHF, did your swelling ever resolve &did your water weight gain normalize? Whether you entered hospital or not, used diuretics or ultrafiltration, please tell me if & how long it took for all pathological edema to resolve. I am despondent from my weakness, gasping, shortness of breath, and shakiness. With CHF & edema, are you ever able to walk and get out and in normally? Has anyone improved with digoxin? have you been able to keep your lungs clear of fluid? Can you live without constant hospital stays?
Please reply - if you have CHF & edema after MI.
Didd anyone ever improve with time or only worsen with each year???? I thank those who reply.

my left side/stomach hurt too when my heart hurts... I can feel my heart kind of race but more like pound... i kind of have a hard time breathing ... Its really scary.. i can't prodict when it happeneds and for how long it might me a second or so.. I'm only 18 and it been happing off and on for 2 years

I read in the Plavic website that people who had a stroke or heart attack are at risk to have another within a year. A friend of mine, which survive almost intact a recent stroke, is worring too much expecting the next, and probably the faltal one.

Been taking atenolol 25 mgs for 6 months and my blood pressure was normal for that time, but for the last week, i noticed my left hand to be weak at sometimes or hurts so i started looking at my blood pressure. so i noticed thats its averaging around 145/90 even when i am takin my medicine. is it normal that people with high blood pressure tend to have increases in strength of their med in time, by the way im late 20's so should i ask for stronger medicine?

This question is for everybody.I used to model and could never get a date.I 'am extremly outgoing and funny and full of life , but man can't even look in my eyes when I try to talk to them or be funny.Are man intiminated by good looks?What do I do? I even left a church once because none of the wifes would talk to me .I never cared about my looks but it,s starting to get on my nerves.I'am just a person who wants to meet people. Also some of my friend"s are always picking on me Like my hair is to long , to reddish, I have cat eyes , to tall I'am always getting put down.I'am also german do you think that is a turn off ? I sleep with my mouth open everynight and it's really getting annoying because I get so much yucky stuff in my mouth. I've been doing this ever since I was little, but I wanted to do something about it. Like one of these days, I'm just going to tape my mouth shut so I can breathe through my nose while I sleep. But I have congenital heart disease. I asked my parents that but they were like no way, don't do that because then I can't breathe. They mean since I have CHD, i need all the oxygen I can get, and taping my mouth will make it worse to get my oxygen. Heck I can't wear contact lenses because they block the oxygen from going into my eyes and I get more tired as usual (but thats a different story)

I was just wondering if is it good or not to tape my mouth shut while i sleep and knowing the fact that i have CHD?

So I have this weird thing going on in my chest. My heart starts to beat extremely fast (not on daily basis and not during excersize) and i feel extremely weird. I get short of breath and feel dizzy and almost like I'm going to throw up. When I was 15 I used to abuse crank for a year and around 23 I used Crystal Meth approximatly 10 times. BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING BAD..I dont do drugs anymore. I am 25 years old now. Can anyone tell me what they think my heart is doing?? Kind of concerned, anyone thinking I should seek medical advice or is this a normal thing that happens to alot of people? Do you think its drug related or a heart murmur??? Thanks for the advice in advance!!

i am 19 years old. 5'6" and weigh 220lbs. the other day i ate 4 slices of pizza with double whopper fries and some pepsi. that night i couldnt sleep because i kept on having a pain rushing through my LEFT arm. and i had pain coming from right over where my heart is. was that a heart attack? or close to one? what am i to do in situations like this?
