If you notice that there are two P waves for every QRS complex, what are the person's problem(s)?

That implies the atria are depolarizing more often than the ventricles. This could result from a 2:1 heart block, particularly if the P waves are regular and in a consistent relationship to the QRS.

If the P waves "march out" independently of the QRS complexes, there could be complete heart block with a junctional or ventricular escape rhythm.

Well, it depends, I would really have to see the EKG to properly read it, but it sounds like you could be describing a 2:1 heart block. This is a second degree heart block, and may be very significant, a cardiologist should see the EKG and have the opportunity to examine the patient, some (not all) people with EKGs like that require a pacemaker, but only the patient's cardiologist can tell for sure.

This means that there may be a block in one of the bundle branches, or the electrical impulse was conducted through an abnormal conduction pathway. This can occur in any rhythm. The causes range from normal to pericarditis, myocarditis, congested heart failure and congenital heart disease.
But please do not take this as any form of diagnosis....this can only be done by a Dr looking at it themselves.....

The first wave isn't a 'U' wave? Is the P wave biphasic? These if present aren't as worrisome usually as '2 p waves.'
