I had pe last week and now I feel totally exhausted and my shoulders hurt. I am wondering if this is normal. Can anyone help me?

Yes, yes, and yes. You have suffered a tremendous health problem to your body. There is a website called WebMD and it is wonderful to do research on just about any condition. I would strongly suggest that you do some research about this and you should also discuss this with your physician and tell them everything that you are feeling that you don't normally feel and anything different since the embolism. Remember the life you save may be your own.

Yes I believe its normal, but I dont really know much about PE's, but I would think it puts some strain on the body, and will take a little while to get back to feeling totaly normal.

i would say yes, that is an exhausting ordeal plus your body is trying to heal itself..the parts that were damaged cannot transport O2 like they used to, so you are probably tired from that....if it continues i would talk to your doctor, it could be a sign of other problems that may not be related to you PE....be safe ask the right people questions..

The whole thing can be physically exhausting, and I'm sure you got short of breath with the PE.
You should be ok
