Ok I heard some things on TV a few days ago about diabetes and I need to check wheter I'm imaginating things or no...

First of all I'm not at all fat, but I do consume sugar here and there... I do drink alot of water and urinate frequently, but I do that like this: every time I urinate I drink a glass of water afterwards and I suppose thats a chain reaction... :P

I have this small wounds on the tip of some of my toes, they do heal but it's been about two weeks since I have them so I don't know if this could be categorized as slow healing (whick is also a symptom of diabetes right?) Now I was walking through snow in light shoes about the same time they appeared so they could also be frost wounds...

I would like to avoid going to a doctors office (since its winter and they are full of sick people) if possible, so if somebody could tell me wheter these are genuine sympthoms of diabetes or am I just imaginating that would be great...

(to be continued)

So I filled my Rx tonite and am gonna start tommorow, but I am way scared to start because of all the side effects, I have been hearing about, headache, nausea.
my sugar has been controlled for the last week with range from 87s to 114's due to taking phentermine, and I have been going to the gym and walking an hour , so I may come off the phentermine once I start byetta
I also have a trip to Jamaica in on Dec 3 for two weeks, thinking I may hold off tilll I come back to the states.
The other thing is the Dr gave me a coupon that covered the needles, and the medicine,,, my pharmacy said insurance wont cover it w/o calling them, has anyone had any issues with the insurance company not covering byetta?
its about $200 w/o insurance.

Thanks

In the case of Type 2 diabetes, what chemical imbalances in the body causes fatigue? What are the causes for the calf and shoulder muscles to ache? Are there natural supplements to correct these imbalances?

Have you had any problems? What is the customer service like? If you were buying another pump, would you get the same pump or a diffrent one?

My mom is a medical technician at a hospital(duh), and has drawn blood for about twenty years now. My mom is also worried that I have diabetes type 2, and wants me to get a blood test. I keep telling her that I want her to give me a blood test, but she says she doesn't want to cause me pain. But, even if it hurt, I would rather have my mom(twenty years of experience)stick a needle in me than have some lady I didn't know that may have no experience stick a needle in me.
Plus, my mom wants me to get flu shots, and then in a few months tetanus and hepatitis so I can try out for the track team. Like in the title, I am soooo afraid of needles! What should I do about the diabetes test, and the shots?

My aunt just found out she is diabetic. She loves chocolates, or anything sweet. I have bought some blood sugar level monitors for her. I would like to get something for her that she would love to eat. Can any one suggest food/snack that is sugar free? And where can I get in Manhattan.

Hmm. Before, I used to urinate 2 times a day. For the past week, I now urinate 4-5 times (almost every 4 horus) a day even though I still drink almost the same amout of fluids. Is this normal?

Given normal days and conditions, I don't feel fatigue though. I also don't wake up during the night just to pee. I can sleep well. It's the urinating thing that got me worried though. =(

About three months ago, I had my blood sugar tested and thankfully, the result was quite normal. My dad has diabetes but it's an ACQUIRED diabetes (after I was born).

What do you think guys? Thanks. :)
