What are the symptoms of diabetes?
People who think they might have diabetes must visit a physician for diagnosis. They might have SOME or NONE of the following symptoms:
* Frequent urination
* Excessive thirst
* Unexplained weight loss
* Extreme hunger
* Sudden vision changes
* Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
* Feeling very tired much of the time
* Very dry skin Sores that are slow to heal
* More infections than usual.
Nausea, vomiting, or stomach pains may accompany some of these symptoms in the abrupt onset of insulin-dependent diabetes, now called type 1 diabetes.

It is condition in which the blood glucose level abnormally rises due to some of the metabolic disorders. Actually there are two types; type-1 and type -2 as well. Type -1 is commonly known as insulin dependent because in this condition there is destruction of insulin producing cells where as in type-2 is insulin independent instead there is defect in target cells of insulin. Most of the symptoms of both types are common such as increase appetite, increase thirst and frequent urination. Besides these unusual weights loss is the additional symptom of type 1 where as eye sight weakness, slow healing of wounds, tingling sensation on the feet, weigh gain as well. If you want to find out the reason of all of these symptoms please read the article.

Classic signs of diabetes in teens is excessive fatigue, unrelated to any activity they do; drinking huge amounts of water; going pee a lot, sometimes redness of the cheeks (looking flushed) and a sweet odor to their breath (which comes with high blood sugars). I would not worry about a small weight loss. You are jumping to conclusions. Why don't you research symptoms yourself on WebMd?

I don't think so. Sure symptoms are: having to pee all the time, thus having to drink all the time because of excessively dry mouth (like you just swallowed a spoonful of sand).
