Hmm. Before, I used to urinate 2 times a day. For the past week, I now urinate 4-5 times (almost every 4 horus) a day even though I still drink almost the same amout of fluids. Is this normal?
Given normal days and conditions, I don't feel fatigue though. I also don't wake up during the night just to pee. I can sleep well. It's the urinating thing that got me worried though. =(
About three months ago, I had my blood sugar tested and thankfully, the result was quite normal. My dad has diabetes but it's an ACQUIRED diabetes (after I was born).
What do you think guys? Thanks. :)

If you are concerned, you should go to your doctor for another test. My father is type 2 and my brother is type 1, so I have been recommended to get my glucose levels checked regularly as there is a hereditary component to it.
I know that before my brother was diagnosed, he was having a lot of medical problems, all of which stemmed from having problems with insulin and sugar levels. He was thirsty all the time and peeing a LOT. 4-5 times a day would seem normal to me.

If you are really worried that much do as I did and buy a Blood Sugar Testing machine, they are very cheap and easy to use.
Just test yourself three times a day, keep a log.
If it gets high show a Doctor your log results and then have another blood test.
I had the same systoms as you but my tests where normal but after three months of testing myself I discovered I had Diabetes type 2, which is hard to diagnose as it flickers from normal to high through out the day.
Its better to be safge than sorry, unsolved Diabetes can cause many problems, so its better to catch it in the early stages.
Check out some Web sites for more info too...

If you don't wake up at night then it will probably be OK as peeing more seems to be your only symptom. And 4-5 times a day isn't that much. And that could be a symptom for a number of other conditions that are a lot less serious.
However, its worth getting checked out, as Diabetes is a progressive disease and you could have developed it in the last three months.
"If in doubt, check it out" is what I say. You lose nothing by checking. Good Luck

Diabetes is associated with elevated levels of blood sugar. The criterion for diabetes is a fasting blood sugar of 126 or more. If your fasting blood sugar is normal consistently, then check your blood sugar two hours after (2-hr postprandial) a few meals. Most non-diabetics don't get much above 145, but a diabetic could repeatedly have a 2-hr postprandial blood sugar of 165 or more. Never make the diagnosis on the basis of a single normal or abnormal blood sugar test.

Based solely on the fact that you urinate a few more times a day than normal it is impossible to say whether you have diabetes. If you're concerned about it, go to your doctor and get some simple blood tests to determine your blood glucose levels.

Not getting up at night to pee is a good thing. Drink mostly water when u r thristy. See if that helps. U might have an infection. See your doctor.

Only a medical professional could tell you for sure what the cause of your increased urinary output could be. Bladder infections as well as increased kidney output due to higher blood sugar levels could be possible causes. See your doctor for blood and urine testing.

heyy best thing is go to your doctor and see it. Honestly most people are gettin type II now because of their poor diet and lack of nurtition. You know that 1/3 kids will get type II diabetes because of their unhealthy diet. Best way to avoid this is eat healthy with the right kind of exercise.
